    Ha! typical.

    It's progressively getting less adventurous...

    M'Villa > De Jong >Martinez > Capoue > Mohamed Diame> Ahmedov??

hahaha, so true, what an absolute joke :p. The sad thing about these rumours is that they are pretty much spot on in terms of how Arsenal scale down the quality of their targets rapidly...

I see that Johan Djourou is thinking about leaving. He is a decent back up at CB and with our luck we will probably need good back ups. I think it will be a bit of shame if he leaves, because I can't see us going and buying someone who can come in and do the same job. We will probably leave it to Miquel and Bartley.

Agree <ok> for all of his detractors, Djourou is actually a fairly decent back up CB. It's at RB where he struggles. I've said all season that we need another CB, we need 4 top quality CBs - two first choice and two equally as good to cover. There are 50+ games in a season, so there's plenty of game time for all of them. If Djourou leaves and we get injuries at CB - who is going to come in ?

I'd put Martinez and Capoue ahead of De Jong, and Ahmedov ahead of Diame.

EDIT: Actually, i'd put Martinez ahead of M'Vila.

  12. Didnt he score in QPR's win over you - which went some way to eliminating you from from football's top table.

talkSHITE has us after Marvin Martin, Caught offside has us after Kalou, and Arsene Wenger has us after 5th place.

I think Arsenal should try and get Gonzalo Higuaine. (before another EPL team does)

The guy is clearly unhappy at a lack of playing time at Madrid. Benzema came in when he was injured and has now first choice in the starting lineup (and Ronaldo plays the middle CF role which is Higuaine's preferred position)

I do'nt think he would be 'hugely' expensive 15-20 million probably but the guy is one of the tidiest finishers on the planet. Despite being used as a sub more often than not he still manage 26 goals and 10 assist last season.

If we do lose RVP Higuaine and Podolski would be more than adequate to replace the goals he gets us.

If we keep RVP we would have one of the strongest forward lines in Europe ----VanPersie----Higuaine----Podolski----

    and if we signed M'villa:

    ------------------Scezney--------------------
    Sagna--Mertesacker---Vermaelen--Santos
    -----------Song----------M'Villa-------------
    -----------------Wilshere---------------------
    ----VanPersie--Higuaine----Podolski-------

with a strong bench: Rosicky, Arteta, Koscieleny, OXO, Walcott, Gibbs

I'd be happy with Marvin Martin, he's a good player, but Kalou would be a real penny-pinch signing...
