Rumour now is that Lambert has left Norwich and maybe on way to Villa.

<ok>. I thought he would have carried on the good work at Norwich.

About 12 months ago, Owen Coyle was being touted around as the new Fergie, now his next job is seeing who wants to stay at the club after they were dumped out of the division.

If Rodgers does not get off to a flying start the Skip rats will be telling him he doesn't know what he's doing and calling for his head after match day 2.

I can see why all these guys are taking their chance. Regardless of what people think of the two clubs in question (Liverpool and Villa), they're big clubs. Liverpool more so of course but you don't know when the chance will come along again as a manager.

I just think that neither Liverpool or Villa are particularly well run at present and Lambert and Rodgers will end up taking a fall. Villa don't seem to have a long term plan in place. they have just fumbled around unsuccessfully since O'Neill left. Liverpool have been a mess and the owners don't seem to understand football at all. The money they overspent, and now they go in a completely different direction. When Rodgers gives them his wish list, can he be sure they are going to pay appropriate fees or will he also be receiving a new batch of players saddled with ridiculous fees and expectations like Dalglish was? I'm not saying that it is a bad thing to go a whole different direction as Dalglish looked out of touch, but they must be prepared to give Rodgers 2-3 seasons to allow the new set up to bed in. Can I see them being able to ignore the supporters will if things are not going well? Not really and they'll be back to square one. It is rare for things to just fall into place when there is such a dramatic change of style.
