If true, I'm hoping we make a move for Hughton ASAP.

Hi again
Just wanted if you still need proof you deluded muppet? Don't forget to pop over to the QPR board next week and say i was right. <ok>
right onto something of importance.

I'm very sorry to hear it lads. For what its worth, I can't understand why he'd take a sidewards step like that. Didn't they sell all their good players last season and very nearly get relegated?

As sh*t as Liverpool are, Rodgers has got the far better move of the two.

Lost alot of respect for Lambert and Rogers here today. Both had chance to create a dynasty for themselves, make themselves legends but turned round and stabbed their clubs in the back for supposedly "bigger & better" clubs

Aww, my posts really got to you didn't they Ellers... You had no proof sunshine. You put 2 and 2 together and tried to make 192. The fact that he has resigned says nothing about what you actually knew about the situation. So enjoy next season under Hughes. I'm betting we still do a hell of a lot better than you, whoever we get in! Toodle pip!

I am a little bit P*ssed off if he has done it impulsively because we refused to allow Villa to speak to him, it's as though he hasn't even thought about it. He obviously loves a challenge but I just don't like the fact he would rather be 3rd choice manager at Villa then to stick around at Norwich. Ah well. Pretty gutted. But thankyou Paul and welcome Malky/Gus/Hughton/Pep <whistle>

Well in about an hour since this 'news' broke, we've got an out of the blue Sun article, a Times article (which I can't access) but isn't top news on their sports page, a tweet from Henry Winter of the telegraph, and ESPN saying they've heard 'reports', it's not a healthy situation, but I'm still not abandoning all hope.

I think i'll put £1 on Malky Mackay as your next manager, providing the sun aren't BS'ing everyone. I know he's very popular in your neck of the woods

Hucks on twitter: "Going to bed, no point worrying, managers and players move on, but make no mistake Lambert and McNally virtually saved the club #hugeloss"

Seems rash to me, but there we go. Think he may end up regretting it. Villa going to be an incredibly tough ship to turn around.

He is, but I hope we don't go for him. Ex-players and management hardly ever mix as Gunn showed us.

Yeah, I agree, would rather in a way he went out on good terms, but do feel slightly let down. Probably just being bitter. Ah well at least we can look at that era in postive manner and look forward to next era. Interesting to see as well Charlie Wyett tweeted Drury offered coaching role Surman and Martin new contracts. Wonder if them two getting contracts is what pis$ed holt off?

Hope not Jacky! Don't mind Ellers, hes just had too much sun.

Antrim gonna do anything in the All-Ireland this year? Yis had a great win over us a couple of years ago when yis looked dead and buried.

Im a county Down man myself, just living in Belfast, so im looking toward this weekends clash with Fermanagh :D
On android app so cant see your location, where ya hailin from

I remember that, that really was a disaster.

Gives me an idea though. Colchester whacked you, so you nicked their manager, did anyone royally batter you last season? Just steal their manager too! Worked once, should work twice.

Well, Man City, but I can't really see that one happening.

Gunn didn't go brilliantly, but Mackay has at least had 2 successful management jobs already.

Edit: Simon Thomas of SSN and a NCFC fan has picked up on it now. Only commented, not announcing, but I'm really not liking the look of this, Rick Waghorn has picked up on the Sun article, but hasn't said if there's any truth in it.

Right, I'm going to bed. At the end of the day, I trust McNally.

Yes. Man City did us 5-1 and 6-1 but I think Mancini may be slightly harder to prise away...

Okay, anyone other than Citeh beat you by a large margin? Obviously Mancini won't leave his cushy post of caretaker to the world's elite.
