    Realistic? o_O

Didn't Chelsea get a 32mill bid rejected for Moura?

Banega is playing for Valencia who this season qualified for the CL.

Martinez is interesting almost every top club in Europe currently.

Muniain I think is valued too high by Bilbao, 40mill euros or there abouts.

    All of those?

From what I'v seen of Moura, he is not suited to English football.

He is known for hogging the ball and not passing, and PL defenders will knock him down with ease.

    I'd like
    Attacking mid (1 from)
    Belhanda, affelay, A.Johnson.
    Midfield (1 or 2 from)
Banegar, Elm, Sissoko, G.Ramirez, Ozil, Keita, Allen, Martinez, M'Vila.
    Striker:
De Jong, Ba, Bent, Huntelaar, Benzema.

Well let's say he gets the projected 30-40 mill.

I think it's going to show one hell of a lot about who a) is selecting the purchases b) the style we're going to adopt.

The majority of those above will not fit into the systems Rodgers plays. You really haven't got a clue of what is about to hit you!

Hard to tell for you when you are signing 500k players from Doncaster, now Rodgers is at a big club he can buy proper players. So I don't think you really have a clue what is about to hit us either! I would be more concerned about your relegation this season.

Was the 'realistic' bit in the title meant to be ironic?

Yep. You will probably find that Rodgers won't sign many names (or egos). You may also see some "names" booted out of the Liverpool squad. The whole ethos is about the system of play, which is totally alien to the majority of the PL. He will be buying players to fit that system - players who will not necessarily be "budget busters".

    jaffakop - go **** yourself. <ok>

Oh Christ the third place ribbons being waved around again.

That's the difference between you & us. 4th, 3rd & 2nd are stepping stones in our objectives. To you they are a final destination and have been for a fairly long time.

We have failed and hated it. You lot have wallowed in your failure.

You won't need to wait as long we'll give your 4th place ribbon now. Take it home & proudly show it to your kids.

    Hahahaha.

FSG would love to be in our place. There is a reason they sacked Daglish. What is your objectives? Sitting in ****ing eight place, will not help you get to your final destination, whatever that is? We have our base and we earn it year in year out. That, despite going up against teams that spend way more in the transfer window and spend way more on wages. Not to even mention having our stadium debt reduced every year. We are so far ahead of Liverpool it's unreal.

To a certain degree that is true (and that may have been attractive to the USA owners if they don't want another major capital investment! The problem that Rogers will have is TIME.

When he arrived in Swansea the donkeywork had been done by Martinez and Sousa. At Liverpool he is starting from scratch.
