Brendan rogers appreciation thread

Very good manager and very loyal.

 

I actually with to thank him for what he did for us and wish him best for the future with his new clubs.

Football managers are a bit like stocks and shares , you have to make hay whilst the sun shines , and loyalty only truly exists on the terraces.

Its funny, there is a thread on the Brighton board about Gus coming to Swansea , and the posts on there about their manager could literally have been copied and posted from threads here about BR. However , its all BS , 95% of decisions are made on money and chance of progression.

 

A man known for his integrity.

In all seriousness, the thing that makes me a little bit reluctant to criticise BR this time around is that I'm not sure how much further he could realistically have taken Swansea. He should have stayed one more season so that he could prove this year wasn't a fluke, but I'm not sure which of the top eight clubs you could have hoped to overhaul next time, and I'm tipping Sunderland to have a strong season, which would in my opinion have left you tenth at best.

It's somewhat different to when he left us, with the job unquestionably unfinished.

 

Next season will be hard no doubt, 2 x of the promoted with money + with QPR staying up will hit the ground running this time round with money, Sunderland not sure whether they'll be stronger , the O'Neill effect had worn off towards the end of the season .We'll never know now how we may or not progressed but during the season we did improve in all aspects of our game ,he identified weaknesses and I believe would have strengthened us in those areas

Buck made sure he signed a contract with us so we could get good money for him if he was called by " The Big Club " . That's loyalty enough for me . The guy who brought us to the Premier & kept us there has been called by one of the most decorated teams in club history . Good luck Mr. Rodgers , & thanks for the 4 or so million " Big Ones "

 

Which we'll have to spend to get the new man in, Breezy.

 

Wanna bet , Huw will get someone on the cheap , ride his talents around for a bit & sell him at auction again . Huw will bring in a surprise IMO .
