I really dont know what it is, but I ve got a good feeling about this guy Partly its the way he plays football and is general football philosophy, which is possesion, ball on floor, and more possesion with a bit more possesion 2ndly hes willing to learn, speaks Spanish, visited Spain on many occasions to see the way they do things Thirdly from what Im hearing, hes a bit of an obsessive , a bit like Rafa, and it the small details that count Feel thsi is a really good appointment What are peoples thoughts
I look forward to him being given longer than Christmas to do things his way. I really can't see FSG giving him the time he will need to make it work. How many years did it take Fergie and Wenger to win the league? Do you really think the yanks will accept 5 years of nothing? I can see why so many other managers didn't want to touch us with the ****ty end of a big stick.
Go on, just admit it…..We are all a little exited now! Sod what all the wums, he is our man now and we are going to support him, and be hopeful
Never thought Kenny was the right man,he was way behind the times IMO,just go out and play which was his 80s approach, is only good enough if you have the best players, the mistake was gettin rid of Rafa Think FSG WILL give him time, but they want to see PROGRESS.Kenny didnt show anywhere near enough progress after a £36m net spend last summer
This ^^ **** the WUMs I agree with DDDDDDs assessment really add to the above that his record with younger players seems pretty impressive so hopefully he can bring that side to LFC too. I was gutted with Kennys sacking (and more so by how it was handled) but that had nothing to do with our Brendan He is a Red now (nearly)
On his own, I don't believe that he is the right man. Rafa would of been imo. However, as part of a new management structure that's being touted around, it might just work. Either way, I will support him
I actually think he'll get time. FSG wouldn't deliberately go out for a young manager with limited experience if they were going to sack him after 6 months should he fail to perform. I think a large part of this is their seeking of a DoF (big names linked with this job) which is more than likely to help guide him through. I see Rodgers here for at least 3 years unless something truely awful happens next season. A young, highly rated and ambitous manager and an experienced big name DoF to follow. Match made in heaven.
