Just got my 6 year old her first season pass! I have warned the wife that if she comes home and calls her an effing c@&t its not my fault lets hope her support is as strong as mine is after 18 years. I have to admit that anyone that complains about prices when you can get a kids for £46 (£23 if you family up) must be mental, lets be fair £395 is hardly as bad as some championships prices.! I cant wait for the fixtures now and roll on the friendlies!!! The manager will be whi the manager will be and I'll be there no matter what! Come on you 'Ull
My Dad's got me a season ticket too for getting into Hull Uni. Supporting City was definitely a big factor in my choice.
Couldn't be doing with that, as much as I always say that Hull is nowhere near as bad as it's made out, I couldn't stay here for Uni, on top of the fact that you'll miss all the parties! I'll miss it like mad but I should still make half of the home games at least.
I know they feeling, I moved away for uni and missed it! I made about half of the home games each season during my Bsc, student loans come in pretty handy. The worst was when I did my Msc, no loans = very little football!
The grass is always greener, unfortunately. If you go to your local Uni and live at home, you're missing out on parties, as well as independence and just general Uni life. If you go to your local Uni and live in halls/a student house, you're thinking that you should have saved several thousands pounds and stayed home, where your mum can do your ironing and cook your tea. So I took neither and applied for five courses outside of Hull. Anyway I'd like to get out and see another place (granted it's only Sunderland, it won't be a whole different culture ) but Hull is all I've ever really known and I feel like I need to get out, at least for a while.
When I were a lad....... I went to Hull. My girl and I bought a terrace house in the Dukeries (Prinny Ave) for £3,950. £400 down and 6 years to pay. I got a (almost mythical) Mature Student grant and was better off than when I'd been working and we'd been paying rent. (Just thought I'd piss you all off...)
Just wondering if anyone knew where my best option to do a Post-graduate degree in the field of Linguistics, Speech Pathology or something along those lines would be?
I've never lived in Hull (support City cause my Grandad did), I'm from Northampton so it's a good change for me.
Last season I bought my 6 year old granddaughter a season ticket to sit with me in the Upper West stand. She didn't make it to most of the matches but enjoyed it when she did. She shows an interest in both watching the football and looking out to see Roary. I remember walking away with her perched on my shoulders after the West Ham game and she had really enjoyed the match, actually thinking we'd won. I pointed out that we had actually lost, she was silent for a moment before telling me that 'they had tried'. She is the future of the club.
