Ok derive what pleasure out of this as you want but this has irked me slightly, do you seriously think Spurs are a better team than Chelsea? Really dude? Come on!! We have won 11 Major trophies in the last 8 years. Spurs have won 1 during that. You finished only 5 points higher than us in a season when we had a manager for most of the season who was WAAAAY out of his depth and being bossed by his senior players, most of home have seen their best days go already. Then we won 2 major trophies, including the biggest club trophy in the world and were crowned Champions of Europe....and we qualified for said tournament again at YOUR expense. And you think we care that you finished only 5 points above us. Next season you will finish below us, we will be in the CL and you wont....... I like Spurs, they play good football but come on man.....we had our worst league season in a decade and you finished only 5 points ahead of us! Do you think we will do worse next year? I see what you mean, I value the league above all else, but I still think this is worlds apart from when Liverpool finished 38 points below us and won the CL and claimed to be the better team..... This is a serious question....
the table does'nt lie,5 point's is 5points over 38 games proves it,takes a lot less to win the fa& cl trophy's,and you we,re taken apart by Bayern, and lucky to fluke a win.you've won the pl in the past yes,but we were better than you this season, regardless of Manager issues
Well yeah, you were better than us in the league, you got 5 more points than us But we are in more than 1 competition every year, the League, the 2 domestic cups and Europe. We finished only 5 points behind you in the league and won 2 trophies, im not talking League cup here, im talking European and FA cup. You dont think that more than makes up a 5 point difference, and besides, we qualified for the CL, and you didnt....explain how the extra £500,000 you will get for finishing two places ahead of us and having no trophy and no CL next year, can beat winning the European Cup, being champions of Europe (which brings in millions anyway) and qualifying again for next years competition?! I may be wrong granted, but I think most will agree this seasons league peformance by Chelsea was an anomoly. We should challenge again next season
You'll need more reinforcements, yet. Still, i'm sure that the font of all funds will provide. So long as he doesn't keep pissing his money away on arrogant prima donnas like Hazard. I hope he falls flat on his self satisfied face.
wow. swansea have just signed Gylfi Sigurrdson haven't they?- i wonder if he knew about this potentially happening? So, Martinez to Swansea? or is that really obvious and i'm just way off the pace today...
Not surprised. Will either be a very shrewd appointment, or a total disaster. It's a risk, that's for sure.
lol Roo...i think Brendan Rodgers has had his press confrence...done a few keepy uppies with a red ball and held aloft an LFC scarf.
o dear! god I'm slow! totally agree with you NSIS. his record at reading was questionable. best of luck to Rogers, I like his style of play. just a shame it's gotta be at Liverpool. Certain managers really shine at certain clubs, but then move on because "the grass is greener" and it all goes to ****. I do fear that this could be the same for Rogers. Such a shame on Swansea. Hopefully they'll find the right man and continue to set a great example of how to play football. Oh, just 1 more thing...Does anyone know when the England squad is being announced?
As one who delights in the delusion and history-searching of the Mousers and their Klan, in my opinion this is a bad day!! Rodgers is an emerging talent who has impressed on a number of levels this year. I am not saying that such an appointment at this stage of his career is risk-free, but I think that Liverpool owners have actually made a good decision - damn them!!! Heres hoping he - and they - fall flat on their faces!! No offence intended.....
Two weeks ago Liverpool were considerably snubbed by Rodgers. Today he takes over as their new manager. Anyone else smell an illegal approach in there somewhere?
Quite right hbic, a very strange u-turn, hope he covers it in his press conference. Tbf, he may only be using it as a stepping stone to a top club.
He was approached as a candidate answer: Not interested. Approached with a job offer answer: Thanks very much.
....meanwhile SAF and Mancini are furious with their respective dyslexic scouts, who have horribly misread who they were supposed to be signing! please log in to view this image
It's a good day. Rodgers may be ok as a manager but he has players who won't suit his style and no money to spend. This keeps them out of things for another year.
