Yes, thanks for your helpful input, HD. I meant, of course, the int'l between Eng & Belgium on 2nd June. If the story has any credence, we should get some sort of announcement shortly afterwards.
question. would you rather we pay £18mill for Remy, or £20mill+ for Leandro Damiao? now, i know some might instantly say "I'd rather take Adebayor". so, before you say it... imagine we already have him on board. but we clearly need more up front. Saha's supposedly not being offered anew deal/has pretty much gone, Defoe could be on his way... that alone means that we need will need a replacement/s. just interested to know preferences. Both strikers have pro's and cons and it looks like we could be in for either/or. it's a lot of money for us to spend and we've made some costly mistakes in recent years. what's the general feeling about this right now?
Leandro please! More potential to be a top player for the next 6 or 7 years, and already got shed loads of ability. Also would be good to keep our links with Internacional strong, because they seem to be producing some top talent!
i honestly havent followed this guy much....has he got the potential to have an impact like Aguero? similar to ADE? him and not that guy from Marseille? Remy?
I don't really think anybody has to be honest. seen more of Remy though in the CL. hmmm.... that sort of money is a concern. i hope the scouts have got it right.
so i admit i havent seen much and so do a few others...yet we all want to sign them desperatly...who has really seen these guys then from us posters...enough to say...yeah go for him..or maybe even a rundown of their honours list if they have one.
I'm not going to lie and pretend I've watched every minute of this season's Brazilian League, but since we've been interested I've made an effort to watch a game online now and again. He's not your typical Brazilian / South American striker - I'm not sure of his exact height, but he's certainly taller than Aguero. But then he's not as tall as Ade. Probably quite a similar playing style to Van Persie. And he's quite similar to Remy in that he's strong, but still got quick feet and the odd silky skill. We know pretty much what we'd get with Remy, but with Leandro it's a gamble, which could mess up, or we could end up with a player twice as good as Remy.
if this is the case, I'm tempted to agree. The fact that Sandro has adapted so well and just the fact that Leandro is Brazilian, gives me much more hope. (Usually, yes Usually the brazilian's tend to be pretty reliable. No gilberto comments please) how much of him have you seen SL?
Look up one post! I watched their game about 10 days back against Coritiba and he scored a very good goal, and was just a nuisance all round. He didn't play in their most recent game for some reason. http://www.goalsarena.org/video/brazil-serie-a/20-05-2012-internacional-2-0-coritiba_en.html (35 seconds in)
i wasnt being patronising SL......i seriously was intrested to know what this guy or all our targets are about...ive never seen youtube make any player look bad unless that is the aim so i dont go on there..i much prefer the input of fellow Spurs fans as i know that they hve the best interests of the club at heart....your last sentence is a conundrum that maybe Levy faces aswell and i think he might go with the safer bet of Remy..
LOL. i don't think anyone's ever said that they could write a biography on either player Dona!! haha! I think everyone's been judging what little they have seen. which doesn't appear to be much by the looks of things. Hilarious! (i'm sure the combined viewing from us all, would give us a total of about.... 10 games between them though? LOL) In terms of live matches, I've seen Leandro once... for Brazil! not even for his club!! but he looked sharp. in terms of highlights, i've researched loads. but at the end of the day, i've only actually seen 90 mins. Remy i've seen in the CL half a dozen times as well as for france. He's good. but for me, he's a Defoe replacement. Quick, agile and more of a predator. - but he cant hold the ball up from what i've seen, so for me he's an addition to Ade/Leandro. - However, i could well be wrong.
10 minutes more like..maybe 13 minutes at a push since SL has watched him on youtube as for Remy being a Defoe replacement...wow cant wait to sign another player who cant pass...loves row Z target practice and shags anything that breathes
O god Dona, don't start the "Defoe debate" again. he's like marmite. you either love him or you hate him.
no come on Roo..lets start the Defoe debate....i cant believe that twat was 2 inches away from prodding the ball home and giving us a 3-2 lead against city when we were 2 behind...he has no problems smashing the floodlights does he but couldnt get his toe on that!
