Pffft. The SFA are meeting at Hampden as we speak to discuss how they're gonny tell UEFA to go **** themselves. We are finally going to take on these corrupt spics and dagos.
There is a clause that states that the appeal panel can give whatever punishment it feels necessarily matches the crime. SFA could appeal this to the court, but that would be going against FIFA / UEFA so there in a tricky spot now. Can SFA demote them? Or just kick them straight to the Spartans league?
I know where this whole mess is going: Rangers will play in a league called the "Superior Protestant League" or "SPL" for short The only team in the league will be Rangers. The club will have a strip literally covered in embroidered stars to signify the yearly success of the club.
Tarquin, no where does it bar a member club from going to CAS. The SFA will ignore the court, the ban will stay and if Gers sign any players a la Sion it's a big massive kick in the swingers coming their way.
If the SFA were trying to impose an illegal penalty then Rangers have every moral right to take it to appeal. The idea that FIFA, a corrupt organisation if ever there was one, would penalise Rangers for this, far less scottish football in its entirety, is disgusting. Rangers deserve punishment, and more than a £100k fine that they won't pay anyway, but it's not their fault the SFA is utterly ****ing shambolic.
Theyve really gone and done it now. Stupid move. No, perhaps pigheaded and arrogant would be more appropriate. Though , as I said earlier somewhere else, it probably suits just about every one of the main players involved if fifa take decisions - which no one else is willing to take, one way or the other - out of the spl/sfa hands...and out of greens hands.
... and will be expected to punish Rangers further for taking the issue to court. Interesting challenge now for the SFA ...
