A mate of mine went to see him, he also said he was brilliant, on top of that, he was also on stage over an hour longer than scheduled.

Absolutely detest Frankie Boyle. Awful jokes - yeah, we get it, scotland is stuck in 1980 got any new material. Saw him in Yarmouth a few years a go. He completely lost the crowd said Yarmoutha crap too often and his jokes about the occupations of members of the audience was dire.

A good comedian I've seen is Reginald D Hunter.

Seen Frankie Boyle live twice now, probably wouldn't see him again but the material was very funny. At least you know what you're getting... some of the stuff was so dodgy they couldn't even include it on the DVD.

Not stand up as such but Axis of Awesome are a hilarious comedy band. The 4 chord song is brilliant and their instructional songs are brilliant

I love watching Rhett and Link. Those guys come up with so many funny, original concepts. Here's are some examples:

As has already been mentioned us Brits have a superb range of comedians and stand-ups in particular, but this American called Gabriel Iglesias is worth a look...
Well he made me laugh anyways!

He also comes across as a really nice genuine guy too:

Yes mate, have you got their DVD? I got it last year I think we sat and watched it one evening not knowing what to expect as it was before they'd done anything over here (much) and thought it was hilarious. The instructional songs are great I love "how to kill a hooker" and not to forget "how to bake a scone" and not forgetting the classic "Bird Plane"

I love sketch comedy and in my opinion there hasn't been many better than our very own Stephen Fry when he was better known as one half of "A Bit of Fry & Laurie".

This is one of my very favourite sketches of all time, nice Norfolk connection to it as well ;)

You know, I always laugh politely at that sketch, but I have to say, I listen very carefully each and every time, and it really does sound like he asks for four candles to me! Am I missing something here????
