btw, this new stadium: I'd be interested in how you think that FSG should fund it in the current financial crisis? When you answer, please do tell us what impact it will have on our spending capability in the short, medium and long term. It's all very well screaming for everything on a wish list but very different having to deliver it in the real world.

 

They should use money to pay for it. I don't think the builders will accept anything else.

With 40k waiting to part with their cash for a season ticket and the 30k who already get them you should be OK to get a little bit of a loan. Other clubs with smaller fan bases and poorer owners have done it but we just get excuses why we can't.

Probably some of their money but would need sponsorship money, loans, LFC income, etc and they would need all of this if not more as a stadium is a massive investment that eventually pays itself off ( Arsenal are just now starting to get to where they are turning profit). Have you not seen how much we had to pay just for H&G designs and the very basics of getting the ground ready?

Mate I've complained myself over this issue but only about communication. If the investors aren't there they aren't there. Sustained success will bring them. What I don't like is pretending they're doing something if they are not. As I said I'll give them time.

Oh and look at Rangers for the risks of owners (who you apparently don't trust) borrowing money on future projected gate receipts.

In the mean time By all means if you have inside info & can name all the investors & how much they're putting in each i'll shout you b*stards at FSG too....

First off, there's no way we're going to increase the number of seats by 40, plus 20,000 is more realistic.

This equates to approx £15m increase revenue p.a.

How much do you think a stadium is to build??? Where do you think the money comes from? how much do you think it costs to service a debt like that?

I assume that you also want a massive incremental increase in our net spend too - so we can assume our 'rightful' place in the top 4?

You shoot down FSG without any real idea (like me) of what their vision is, demand instant success and a stadium as though they can knock one up tomorrow and pay for it with shirt buttons......and I'm up my own ass?
