why have we made the same mistake twice we accepted another group of idiot yanks to buy and own one of englands greatest clubs.
after all we went through with gillett & hicks you would have thought we would have stayed well clear of american consortiums, they have no clue on how football works and what is needed to succeed in the english game.

The situation at the moment is a utter disgrace, interviewing numerous manager for the vacant managerial role is ridiculous they should have found a replacement for kenny before sacking him common sense tells anyone that, i mean if a ran a business and wanted to get rid of someone i would find a ideal replacement first.

This just shows how inept our owners are at making basic decisions and i for one am not buying anything they spout out because its all bollocks!! they have dragged our club into the media SPOTLIGHT at a time when calm progress should be made away from the media.

just thought i would share my views with you all :)

So far barely any official info regarding the manager has actually been released so everything we have heard is just speculation.

Our club is currently being filmed 'behind the scenes' by a Fox documentary crew.

They more than likely filmed Kenny's sacking and the current search for a new manager, the owners might just be under orders by Fox to spice things up to get higher ratings and viewing figures.

  4. So you was in favour of Hicks and Gillette sorting out Jurgen Klinsmann whilst Rafa was in charge then...? <doh>

I want the best man for the job not the first man to say yes, they can take all the time they want <ok>

  5. I forgot about the documentary. Will be interesting to see when it is finally aired but i am pretty certain there will be some editing involved first <ok>

Not sure but i think the terms of the contract means only swear words will be blanked out.

It'll be like a silent movie then by the looks of it with Whelan giving John Henry grief down the phone.

C'mon mate; I was unhappy about KD's sacking & it's disrespectful manner but I would have been a damn site more pissed if they gone behind his back, got someone organised & then humiliated the great man anymore.

Other than that, they've done nothing wrong yet. Wait & see, I'll join you in a rant if & when they do.

By all means have a moan if grumpy, I know I did in the first few days but it did me no good so I'm back to wait & see.

Couldn't disagree more. It's better they take an extra couple of weeks or so now to ensure they get the best man for the job than appoint someone in a hurry.

And as for trying to line someone up when Kenny was still in the job, you do realise that in disrespecting the greatest figure in our clubs history like that, they would have done irreparable damage to the goodwill they hold with most supporters at the moment.

They can't look for a new manager, but if no one's available, turn around to Kenny and say, "yeah, we can't get rid of you yet, please continue".

And this long interview process shows they're trying to make the best all round decision. I'm fine with how it's being ran so far, don't belive all the media garbage thrown at us.

So do you think that's what they do with all management positions?

Let's wait; go behind the current Manager's back and find a replacement. Without interviewing this potential managing candidate, or knowing whether he'd accept the job, or even whether he'd be able to do it.

We've done this before, and Roy wasn't a success. Interviewing is a great way of finding the perfect candidate, and I think it shows how we're moving forward that we've even changed the way we find managers. The owners want the best person for the job, hence they've got a few different options for the job and they're taking their time over the decision. In what world is that a BAD MOVE?! They've got over 2 months before we even start our next game, there's no rush to appoint the wrong manager!

Is it that time again for us to grasp our torches and pitchforks because the owners haven't built us a new stadium in 18 months? No. It takes time to find the right man for any job. Why rush into another Hodgson situation just because you want someone in the position immediately.

Why don't you just wait until they actually make a mistake before jumping to conclusions based on the bull**** the media is constantly churning out, purely to spark anger.

Obviously if you're looking to hire someone you look at every available candidate. The "chaos" is just more journospeak. 99% of what has been written is media speculation. Let the owners make their decision and let's see how it turns out before jumping on their backs.

i didnt mean going behind the managers back and finding a replacement, what i should have said is they should of had a clear target of who they wanted before sacking kenny, and then went in with a offer for him, whether he accepted or not it would have been better overall.

i have to disagree with you ze liverbird about having time, anyone taking over in the managers position wants as much time as they can to put their strategy in place he has to consider who he want in the team and who he wants around his team and who he doesnt.

2 months is not enough time imo to implement a solid strategy so the quicker we get a manager the better.
