I'm 100% certain that if he came to us he would succeed. With all the service he'll get from us and the fact he's a big 6ft 5 inch guy with skills, he would thrive in a more physical and technically less demanding league. He would bring something different to our attack, that something that Bendy and Chams failed bring. He would give us so many more attacking options. We could shift RVP to the right, or just behind him. Nice...

Thats not true, the Premiership is much faster in pace than the Spanish league and you are not given time on the ball, The spanish league is much slower and ultimately you are given much more time on the ball. The reason Benzema has a lot less shots is because he provides many balls to Ronaldo who is their main striker really. The Spanish league is inferior to the premiership especially when it comes to defending were some teams are just shocking.

Canal ++ reporting arsenal have had a bid of £8.5mil plus chamakh accepted by Montpellier. Can't se us getting both lorrente and Giroud I feel Giroud is more likely.

Thanks for the stats. They imply Llorente could easily have a 40-goal season in England. Obviously, it's not that simple, but it's reason to be optimistic if he does join.

I hope it isn't. If RVP signs then I would like Giroud as our second striking option, but not our first. Signing him without RVP guaranteed suggests RVP is leaving and Giroud is his replacement. Too much of a downgrade IMO.

If we sign him, then RvP will see that Wenger is serious and even extra incentive to sign a new contract.
Thoug who would you prefer to be RvP's backup or Worst Case Scenario his replacement Llorente or Girioud?

I think Giroud's greater technicality would make him a better fit for you guys. Whilst Llorente is by no means a bad footballer, Giroud is better with the ball at his feet. Hope you guys sign him as I'd love to see him in the prem!

Yes it's good because it might convince him to stay. To me though, it would suggest we are trying to replace him because RVP has already decided.

Llorente would never settle as backup to RVP, so I don't think that is feasible. So looking at the remaining scenario's, best to worst:

RVP stays, Giroud signed as backup.
RVP stays, no-one else signed as backup, and we rely on Podolski in the middle if RVP is injured.
RVP leaves, replaced by Llorente AND Giroud
    RVP leaves, replaced by Llorente
    RVP leaves, replaced by Giroud.

The only bad scenario is we replace RVP with Giroud alone. Unfortunately, this looks the most likely right now.

If that were to happen, then yes, i would definitely listen. If it was because i managed to break the dishwasher, i'd run a mile.

I think that describes Peter Hill-Wood a bit better.

Personally prefer Giraud to Llorente but neither are 'World Class' and I think Podolski is better than both of them.

If RVP is to go I would try and sign Higuaine.
