I think it's more the truth, that your yank Muppet's you have in charge that is keeping this farce going, but lets not put the facts in the way aye! swimaway chill will you, it was only a tongue in cheek observation, no need for waving your knickers at me!...........
That crossed my mind Mabon, think Rodgers though, would be making a big career mistake (and a short one), taking this poisoned chalice! Lets hope it's all paper speculation, for the bookies!.............
Sorry DP... you got me started mate. Just read the last post coming in from work! PS, they're not my knickers, they're your wife's!
rodgers is feeling ****e at the moment as he feels he owes swansea to stay for at least another season, but will he get another chance like this at the moment..... Well the answer to this is.... Yes you will if you are confident in your ability to do well with swansea for another season. If you are not confident then snap up the chance while you can as the chance will dissapear if you dont do well next season. What i can say is the fans and the players all have confidance in your ability so it would be best to stay with us for one more season and build on the reputation you have started. its a no lose situation if you are like the fans and players that we will do even better next season....only you can make this very difficult choice and i dont envy you doing so...
And if he does **** off.... me and Dai will do the job easily (aint it mate)!! All joking aside, Swansea is a far more attractive proposition to an up and coming manager who want's to establish himself, than Liverpool's poisoned chalice. Let BR decide his bed and then let's comment. I just hope he says something in the next 24 hours, as he owes us and his players that (and I believe he will) You can't blame Liverpool for looking, after our results this year, style and even down to him making Swansea a better package to Rory Donnelly despite all liverpools heritage. The guy has done something right! Fingers crossed he stays... if he chooses the Swans over the scousers, then it will make him the greatest Swansea manager EVER in my eyes! If he goes, he could be the next Shankley ..... or the next Villas Boas Either way, he has my blessing
Ha ha, your a boy and a half, new you'd come back with a cracker! Just listened to this interview, makes a lot of sense, here's the Link!.............. Link: http://www.talksport.co.uk/radio/kickoff/120529/burt-id-put-my-money-rodgers-going-liverpool-173233
Was the HJ sound bite on the BBC site recorded fresh today or are they recycling a recording make when AVB left Chelsea.
Why would he go to another mid table side, surely he would go to a bigger club, not a sideways move to one on the downward spiral!
just received a phone call from one of my ex work mates from the liberty and he reckons that the feeling is that brendan will go to liverpool...apparently an announcement will be made on Friday after certain details have been sorted out...so i dont know what to make of it...
Dai, you certainly hang yourself out there with your 'contacts'. Either way, friday is good.... we need to know where we stand. If he doesn't go, I suspect he will want bigger say in the Swans. In one way, I want him gone for our own good.... Swansea deserve better than this every 6 months.
Well Dai if what you say is true, and comes to pass, then clearly Rodgers did not learn enough from his sacking at Reading, but he surely is going into the lions den, if he moves to Anfield, and mark my words here, it will not be long before he will be chewed up, and spat out,he'll get well and truly found out, as all the credit that Rodgers got this season, was down to our squad that he inherited nothing else, silly little man!...........
We do deserve better swim, this will be another pre-season of turmoil, which we could well do without in our second season, it's clear that we are a training ground for managers, shame as this can be unsettling for the squad, anyway, maybe we get to keep Dobbie! what worries me though is Liverpool have lost more than their manager, I hope we don't lose backroom staff as well, hell this is so much like the Martinez situation.............
Who's to say we don't get a better manager & 4 million for Rodgers by the time this ones over .... IF he goes . Sorry but we can't lose on this one & Rodgers deserves his " Big Chance " if this is it . It's the perfect time for a manager to take over Liverpool IMO , nowhere to go but up !
With all due respect Phil , who cares what you think of Liverpool . I'll tell you who does care about Liverpool though ... most managers in the World !!
One thing for sure, HJ has them signed to contracts that won't come as cheap as Gomez etc. That means big bucks for any new manager from players who decide to throw toys out of prams (and they didn't do that under Jackett/Martinez/Sousa) Liverpool will not touch Pascoe/Curt/HJ/fan ownership etc due to their BIG plan. That is where the future lies. The future will be bright, it will be entertaining, it will never be boring .... we should know, we're Jack Bastards through and through
Jesus ! Even I read earlier that they will make an announcement Friday. No bugger knows what's really happening, but would Siggy sign if he thought for one minute Buck would be off ? His visit to America was planned ages ago as was his meeting with HJ today. The press are guessing, only Martinez has been interviewed so far. What happen if Buck gets interviewed and fails to impress ? He won't get it then will he ?
STOP PRESS>>> Someone who I know, who once knew someone who's uncle worked in a chip van outside Anfield has apparently said ..... that I am being approached for the Liverpool job Worries over lads.
