Someone has said that bringing your national association through the courts does not warrant expulsion? Who?
http://sport.stv.tv/football/103811...ey-must-punish-rangers-for-using-law-courts/? I really don't understand how anyone can gloat right now. This is going to be going on for a while - the Swiss FA deducted 36 points from Sion who ignored the footballing ruling and signed players anyway because a court ruled for them (almost exactly the same as this case). Those 36 points were deducted when the Swiss FA finally got their decision upheld 6 months after the players were signed - so if Rangers do sign players at this point and play them they could eventually forfeit any games they participate in if the SFA win their appeals. Months and months of messy legal crap mixed in with the EBT double contracts investigations and unknowns over CVA agreement and the punishments for a newco - not exactly the same as "winning the Champions League".

Ps it would seem rangers have won the right to have it reviewed. They don't have to have it reviewed. If they don't then no further action. Interesting the statement of admins on the website saying they will review the finding and consider their next steps
The SFA have not said that they'll appeal yet. They've released a statement saying that they're considering their position. In any case, on what grounds could they launch an appeal? They can't make up sanctions on the hoof. A player embargo was not one of the options open to them according to their own rules.
This particular Fenian Bastard thinks Der Hun may have been a bit quick out with the Champers. Go get'em Sepp
Without knowing the full details I believe there is a "or whatever the panel feels is reasonable" statement in there. Anyway why did D&P not go to the CAS first, they had a good chance of winning the case there and wouldn't have felt the wrath of FIFA? I can remember thinking WTF when they came out and said they were bringing it to court after the whole of Scottish football sat on the edge of their seat earlier in the season over the Sion debacle. I genuinely think D&P showed pure incompetence and by their own admission a lack of any knowledge of football by bringing it to the civil courts at this stage.
This must be a first, sellick fans taking it to mean doom and gloom, whilst the Rangers fans are seeing it for what it is.....a kick in the pods to the SFA. I'm away for a lie down. Has pud been sacked yet?
Aye 'cos Timmy has been nothing but wrong this last year Pud has a deadline for Medro to produce the goods by Mid day Thursday.
A transfer ban means **** all when you've no money to spend All this means is the SPL have to punish you for the original crimes AND going to the courts You know what punishment they absolutely can use.....expulsion
FIFA are one of the most corrupt organisations on the planet http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18232533 it is generally accepted that certain countries get awarded the world cup due to "gifts" changing hands. FIFA are a self proclaimed authoritarian body who are scared of being challenged in court by anybody, so they threaten national bodies to deal harshly with any club that dares to question any illegal judgements. this scares the national football association enough so that they invent punishments for member clubs and then everybody believes that the clubs can't challenge unlawful FIFA rules. It would only take one club or national organisation to challenge an illegal FIFA judgement through the international courts and that would be the end of FIFA's autocratic rule.
A very tainted win for Rangers today ,in the long run it will do them more harm than good .Every Scottish club now hates them with a passion , except Kilmarnock of course .Tomorrow is a new day and let's hope the spl teams grow a pair and put Rangers in their place .
