How I envy you!! I'll drive Lambert to Anfield if they'll leave Brendan alone.

I will wait for a statement from our club as to what's happening until then not much point in getting worked up over it.

I think KJ's initial post is spot on. I would expect that today's discussions are mostly about next steps in terms of player acquisition and contract renewal and extension of existing players now that Sig is a done deal. If there's any truth to our interest in the Mexican Santos then that would be one item on the agenda, especially after the trip to specifically watch the international match.

The bookies are working their odds to get idiots ... err I mean punters ... to push money onto other losing bets in order to spread the bookies' risk. Odds are a better reflection of the bookies' risk than any great predictor of outcomes.

I stand by my postings under other articles ... BR has a plan for himself and right now we're the foundation of that plan.

I'd be bothered, as who would he take with him.... There are a lot of players that would be prepared to follow him and with Lpool he'd have the funds... ok before I get shot down, I appreciate not all our players are Lpool material, but our best maybe...

I'm sure bookies do that, but by offering 1-6 for Brendan and 25-1 + for most others they would be leaving themselves wide open if they were playing a game to drag punters in. Also it 's a very difficult game to play with multiple bookmakers involved.

Now 1-6 with William Hill and 1-4 with Skybet. I can't see how this means anything other than Brendan is almost certain to get the job. Note that I said almost certain, not certain.

This guy is persistent, isn't he? All the negativity - are you trying to make us all feel a bit blue?

I look forward to your next slightly reworded WUM thread.

That's yesterdays's news. Things have moved on quickly since then. I think the bookies will stop taking bets soon, as the odds are now so sort that it's starting to look like a certainty.

I wonder why Brendan hasn't said anything. Surely there are reporters around him. All he has to say is 'I'm staying'.

What do you mean not Liverpool material ... despite their "stars" didn't we take 4 out of 6 points from them this season. They could do a lot worse than acquire our players.

Is anybody quoting odds that he's not going to Liverpool. I'd take a punt on those.

How is wondering what Sig is thinking being negative? His medical is tomorrow, so he must be wondering what's going on.

Just being realistic and wondering what will happen next, as any supporter would if their manager was 1-6 favorite to take the Liverpool job. Brendan may not take it but I don't see the point in pretending all is well. If he goes, the Sig transfer, the Caulker loan and lots of other things could fall apart. Then we'd have to find a new manager and get set up for next season. It would be incredibly difficult, so the sooner we know the sooner we can move one.

Are you really that disinterested in such a major story affecting the Swans.

But no need to feel blue, as we will bounce back. But it could be difficult at first.

Yankee, absolutely spot on about the bookies. Phil Jones was less than evens to go to Liverpool before Man Utd. Eden Hazard was ridiculously short odds for Man Utd and went to Chelsea.
As for "fending off" other clubs, bottom line is if he wants away then away he will go. I am still 100% confident he aint going anywherel east of all Roma, Lazio and any other host of foreign clubs.
He stated himself that he isn't ready for the next step. "already burnt my fingers once before by trying to run before I could walk" Nothing has changed in the last 8 weeks in his ability for him to think any different. As for all this issue about it could be his only chance, if he thought that he wouldnt have said what I have previously quoted. In addition even if we got relegatred or end up in a bottom of table dogfight, as long as we are stil playing decent football it wont reflect badly on him. It will be down to lack of cash, small club etc etc. Martinez is the perfect example of this. Always in a dogfight but play good football and he is up for the LIverpool job.
Its not like he has pulled the loyalty card or comittment to the cause statement alone. He has openly admitted he doesnt want to fail and be left in the wilderness again, 'cos that is what he feels happened after Reading. The guy aint stupid, he knows needs to build his CV so when he does go he can control the deal rather than being "given a chance" by a big club.
After all that said he will probably sign for Liverpool before I manage to put a asmiley face at the end of htis lol.

There's being interested in a story and being interested in the reaction to the story.

I care a great deal about Rodgers staying but feeding blind speculation (and I realise you're going to slam in links you've found on Skybet but it is blind speculation) just to try to worry fans is not productive and, well, just WUMMING.

Pretty clear from the two minute delay in your response - and probable two minute delay before you respond to this.

P.S. If odds were always right then we wouldn't be in the Prem, Harry Redknapp would be England manager and, indeed, England would always be fourth or so in any major competition. It's all fevered gossip.

Latest on talksport: "unofficial word coming from Swansea is that the chairman and manager have met, and the club's stance remains that no approach has been made from Liverpool"

I bet 50p on a 40-1 outsider in the National 35+ years ago and it won. The result came over the speaker on the North Bank during a match and I was laughing my ass off at all the people around me that bet tons on the favorite and lost.

And before you all jeer at the size of the bet, that's what it cost to get into the ground back then at the Vetch.

At betfair and you can set your own odds, so you could make a killing for little risk if you're correct. Current odds on betfair are 49/100.

Just offer slightly better than that and your bets will get taken in seconds. And then you'll be in the money when Brendan stays.

What exactly has moved on since then? it's a recent report which is basically as things stand. I didn't say it was new news, just more balanced than the negativity that you keep posting

Yes it's speculation and I've already said that a few times. If you don't want to speculate then stop reading and stop replying. It is reported that our manager is likely to leave so I will speculate all I like. I didn't ask you to join in, that was your choice. Speculating about what the press is saying is different from WUMING. Maybe you didn't realise that.

I haven't posted any negativity. I'm just posting what I see happening. You are free to disagree. That's what this forum is for - debate.
