I was thinking that if M'Villa is too expensive surely Nigel De Jong would be worth a punt? I personally highly rate the guy. (he's aggressive and I like that) I think with Podolski and De jong in our starting lineup we would no longer be considered a 'soft touch.' He's apparently unhappy at his lack of playing time at city and it would go someway to appeasing Van Persie having another Dutch international in the team.
