Is Bates the owner of Leeds? or is there a murkey offshire conglomorate mire to trawl through to get to the bottom of that riddle?
"Due diligence" is a term used for a number of concepts involving either an investigation of a business or person prior to signing a contract, or an act with a certain standard of care. It can be a legal obligation, but the term will more commonly apply to voluntary investigations. A common example of due diligence in various industries is the process through which a potential acquirer evaluates a target company or its assets for acquisition.[1]
Morning Gentlemen.. Just been told that the takeover talks have been mentioned on the national news...Woooohooooooo could it really happening..
Tommy Nah, he said that he brought the club of the owners a while back so he does own LUFC. Probably so he could sell without the investigation that would be required.
Thanks for the "due diligence" explanations chaps, like i said the silence on the official LUFC is deafening,is bates dead?
Boggers - Bates never sold TA or ER, they happened before. Regarding TA and ER, the club will continue to have the right to buy ER at the agreed price right up to 2028, while TA is now a market value price Everyone had poopooed the Maple Leaf story, they had denied it, and then Adam Pope got them to say "we're saying nuffink" Now TC says thay are known to be undertaking due diligence. Why would the City know? What has it got to do with them, as LUFC is not listed and MLSE is privately owned (80% by Teachers Union and 20% by Tanenbaum)? What is facscinating is that it is being mentioned on local and national news now, and it is not being denied by LUFC. There is something definite about this takeover, but whether it goes ahead is a different matter
I think Im going on gardening leave for a week as this is killing me with all the speculation, your right though the silence from ER is deafening !!, I think had the rumors had no substance to them bates would have already laughed it off and taken the piss out of lust and all the tweeters.
Club has confirmed talks are taking place http://www.leedsunited.com/news/20120529/a-club-statement_2247585_2791188
Apparently it is not MLSE who are the party furthest down the line, but it is a North American party. I personally hope it's Paul Allen: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Allen, apparently a massive Leeds fan, co-founder of Microsoft and has experience in the MLS.
Spot on there. I can't stand Risdale or Bates but hate Risdale more. However its amazing how some have selective memories when it comes to the debt Bates inherited. There was no other way for the club to survive, similar to the current bullshit at Rangers
I never said that - I said it was "Larry Tanenbaum" - No idea who he is, but do know that it was not for MLSE as the company initials on the document (which have been sent to me via a phone pic) are K.S.I!!
TC - KSI is the sports firm that Tannenbaum owns, Kimper Sports International or something like that. Through that firm he owns 20% of MLSE, whether he is doing the due diligence on behalf of himself or MLSE is another matter
