No, it's not ok. But I'd feel reasonably safe if they ever hold the Euros in Scotland and would be sure to go, assuming England qualify. Not sure I'd be over keen travelling to the Ukraine, especially with black friends.
lets face it, there are twats in all walks of life, not just football fans. talking of football fans though we have our scum who persist in singing about Ibrox 71. Pricks one and all.
The BBC & SkySports have ran shows about this in the last week. Type it into google and you will see that it's not only the British press reporting about it. People trying to say, look how bad it is here. The reporter said that every game they went to in the Ukraine had white power signs, symbols and chanting. Then you have the nutters saying that they are gonna **** up foreign football fans.
Not really though. Glimpses of racism in Scottish football cannot be compared to the whole stadium giving nazi salutes to the opposition. Groups of men, women and children all making monkey noises at black players and laughing about it. Plus the training camps the young people have been attending preparing themselves for fights.
I dont think it really matters to the victim if they are being racially abused by 10 people or 1000 people though. Its tragic whatever the scale is what people are getting at.
10 people in a stadium of 40/50k you would struggle to hear them. Thousands in unison and I think it would have a greater impact. Hopefully it passes off peacefully but you would have to be insane to be going out there in my opinion, especially of you weren't a whitey.
Worst racism that I've seen was Mark Walters debut at Celtic park where they had to delay the kick off for 30mins to clear the bananas off the park. Then El Hadj Douf getting racially abused by the Celtic fans was up there too.
Shut it, you're the dick that racially abused Mo Edu after the Unirea disaster. Black on black crime; for shame.
