Yep, he can play the VdV role in a linear opposite way on the right...he can also 'tuck in'...... his shirt!
Scored regularly in the U18 and Spurs XI games, but couldn't play for the first team last season for legal reasons (not sure exactly what the issue was). Should be clear to play for the first team next season if we feel he's ready.
Exactly how can Dynamo Kiev think that a pair of players who are 70k and 90k a week types think that the pair of them are worth £8m?! Or even £10m?! Why are fees for Krancjar always around the £4-5m mark? He's surely a lot closer to £10m, isn't he? Am I missing something?
Ah - so that puts him in the £12m bracket. Seriously, though - whenever fees for Krancjar have been bandied about over the last couple of years they've always been conspicuously low by my reckoning - even when he did not only have a year to run on his contract. Interesting how we extended Jenas's contract for a year til 2014 (surely so we could get some money in a sale) but not Niko's.
Better than nothing I suppose. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/s...m-forward-giovani-dos-santos---report?cc=3436
Er, no. Not exactly. He's a talented, but lazy midfield player in his late twenties. Not a top class centre back, who's captain of his Dutch Champion team, and player of the year.
Hardly but I think he'd do well for them and hopefully we can pursuade them to offer us a little change to by him.
I know! I was just mucking about. Krancjar's only 27, BTW. Bit surprising perhaps. Still think he's worth more than £4ishm.
It looks like a good move for both parties - Dos Santos moves to a team that can play, and if he delivers we can make some money off selling him or, possibly, extend his contract and tell him that's what he should've been doing for the last four years. Then sell him...
Hopefully not that many nightclubs in Swansea that he can frequent, so he concentrate on playing instead of playing up.
Swansea is like another planet for a night out. Went there on a stag do, we thought we were in fancy dress but we looked normal compared to the locals
Another day, another couple of Croatian prospects linked - Ante Vukusic and Mario Ticinovic, a pair of 20 year-old strikers at Hajduk Split. Vukusic has a decent scoring record in the Croatian league, but at 5'9" he clearly isn't going to be a player to lead the line - yet is still two inches taller than Ticinovic. If either/both were signed, they'd probably be loaned out ASAP as they're too old for NexGen games, and risk comparisons to Tomas Pekhart unless they got a run of games.
as long as they don't blossom into a Milenko Acimovic or Goran Bunjevcevic!!! haha I know it's only twitter lads, but there's a fair few tweets about today, saying that Vertonghen is having a medical tomorrow. - does anyone know any more about this?
As I put last week, there was a story that N agreement had been reached with Ajax. That al, that remained to talk about was the payment schedule. It also said that we hoped to complete his medical when Belgium were over here for an int'l. not seen any further confirmation of this story since. I guess we'll have to wait and see. It has gone quiet. So let's hope at no news IS good news!
