Just had a bit of a row with my in laws for refusing to believe there Christian beliefs. Im not saying I have a problem with there beliefs, all I have a problem with is them trying to force there beliefs onto me. * In the end, after it had got a little heated. I accused them of showing a lack of common sense which obviously didnt go down to well. To me you have to be pretty thick to believe that the 'virgin' Mary could become pregnant, and that Jesus could feed 1000s of people on a couple of salmon, not to mention the countless other ridiculous story's in the bible. If I came up with similar *story's to a *psychiatrist, they would section me.* Its amazing the amount of people that have been brain washed from an early age to believe this sort of rubbish.* I myself was brought up in a christian environment, my parents used to drag me to church every sunday, and until I was older I never actually realised how ridiculous it all is. So in some ways I'm insulting my own family, and up bringing by having the beliefs I have, but surely there are some out there who can see exactly the point I'm making.* So do people agree with me, does it show a lack of common sense to be religious?*
On another note, if you showed that script to a teacher, they would keep you behind to teach you about, "there, their and they're" and if you were lucky, would also teach you how to use apostrophes properly. Just saying like.
( Speaking as a Catholic ) I agree that you should not be forced into believing anything about religion. That answers that question. You then went on to make a statement, - to which you were entitled, on the subject of common sense. My reply to you is that I consider it a matter of personal choice to believe / not believe, sense / nonsense etc, and apparently you claim that you have no problem with the beliefs of others. nb For your information I have no problem if you think that I am displaying a lack of common sense by believing in my religion - which is a long way short of daring to describe myself as religious. To actually answer the question in the thread title, I believe you're being slightly unkind in making the criticism raised in the OP ( if, as you say, you don't have a problem with the aforementioned nonsense ) - so I shall refrain from supplying my definitive response.
I don't think you should be force fed religion but I don't think people are in any way stupid or lack common sense just because they are religious We simply can't prove it one way or the other and if I was an omnipotent being feeding on faith id prefer followers who didn't need constant proof of my existence And just to add, if I was omnipotent I would not exist according to the rules of man, time, physics or any other science because I would have created man, time, physics etc... Bow before me
This has been done to death a little. If the OP wasn't a United fan I'd be shutting this **** down mofo.
Just be happy that I created Nev in the way I did or the Rangers board would utterly devoid of human occupancy Amen
People who don't believe in religion but talk about it all the time are bigger bores than the god botherers. At least the Jesus freaks believe in something.
I just wish I could see the look on their faces when they die and there is no heaven. I would "pmsl".
Only a credulous fool could believe in the Judeo-Christian god, but all the Norse and Greek gods definitely exist.
Ganesh is class. If you're going to believe in Lord of the Rings rejects, then you may as well pick some decent ones: please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
