I would, but Hill-Wood would accuse me of having shady business links (the stock excuse for him), and refuse my money (all £1.50 of it) in case i attempted to install David Dein as chairman (which i would do).
Haven't really seen this guy so can't really make an informed comment. What I do know is that our squad and wage bill is clogged with average players "who are useful at times"... We need to get rid off a lot of these players and add some players that not only impress RVP and excite the fans but actually show that Arsenal are serious about challenging We are getting a reputation of being a frugal, stingy, sensible club who never win anything (and occasionally supply other teams with top players who go on to win things)...so depressing.
Most is paper talk. Marin is the only one we know that is coming. Nothing is official on Hazard yet, same with Hulk. VDW is paper talk. Moura is 19 and isn't leaving Sao Paolo until after the 2014 World Cup (sensible IMO), he'll be off to Real then IMO. I'm confident we'll get Hulk and Marin but the others are in the balance
But doing that, we are basically allowing RvP to hold us to ransom. Though with him as acting head of transfers, maybe things would improve? They can't get much worse as it is.
Sometimes someone has to make a stand or do something that is unpleasant. If all the rumours are correct about RVP making transfer demands then i'm all for it. He's been with us for 8 years and has seen the slide in quality over that time. He is just doing what any respectable supporter would do.... The truth is, if we lose RVP, my cynical side thinks we won't be getting anyone of significant quality and will probably use Pod as an RVP replacement. He is NOOOOOOO RVP replacement. I really hope that this does not happen as we will reallly struggle to get 4th place this time out. As for competing, that's a nice pipe dream.....
I don't really know the situation with m'villa but i hear that wenger keeps denying interest and reports also suggested that he would go for coupe and now diame has cropped up, we seem to just be going down the pecking order here, diame would be a decent squad player but he is no m'villa, we'll just need to wait and see i suppose.
