Was it just me, or was it great seeing Ray Lew on the England bench last night? Myself and my eldest cheered - literally - every time the camera picked him out at Roy's right hand.

totally agree, I felt a huge sense of pride. it was like he was a member of my family.
I really hope he and Roy shut the critics up.
They both have the skills and experience to get the best out of the players I think.

I wonder how the players are coping with the practice drills?

They're probably all right with them at the moment. Give it a few weeks and they might be getting fed up with them! Then they'll start seeing the benefit and they'll realise what we've known all along: trust in Roy.

Having watched RL take training sessions at MP,his hands on approach always looked
    full of enthusiasm,and tactical knowledge.
Far more interested to observe, than that sullen faced, booted, and suited, automaton Hughes.

    Love it, rosc.

Apparently there is a bit of an impasse over his position with England though -

Trying to clarify the situation, with Fulham apparently demanding a £1 million fee, the Club England managing director Adrian Bevington has remarked to the tabloid press,

"We are delighted to have Ray for the tournament. He has worked with Roy extensively and is an experienced coach."

"He is a Fulham employee so Ray Lewington is with us for the tournament and that is all I can say."
