True! Also, does anyone really beleive none of the other drivers were givein 'feedback' about what was going on out there? Can you imagine Alonso's reaction if stuff was dropping on his head!?
Anyone else think Button will be out of the title race by Hungary? I just think these new regulations don't suit his style. He likes a perfectly balanced car and these tyres have a small sweet spot which changes at every track. For me I don't feel he has the ability like Vettel, Alonso, Raikkonen and Hamilton where he can handle the oversteer and fight the car when it's needed and if it's not oversteer it's understeer or no grip. He is never happy.
Mayybe not as many as last year, but they are still there. All this laughable rubbish about how he has now got his head together and that he has now changed the way he drives. It's all a complete charade, and with every GP that passes with Hamilton getting further and further away from a title the more you will see that it is a charade. And allsaintchris, do you really think that I am worried about being in a minority when it comes to my views. I'm not a sheep. I don't need the company of others all bleating about how Lewis is the bestest ever and just like Senna and a really good overtaker and blah blah blah blah.
Absolutely not, perfectly entitled to your own opinion. Thoguh I do think you should fast forward a few years. Your views are stuck in the past and you do come across as just a petty hater. yes, yes, irony, hypocrisy, Schuey etc etc
I've got to disagree, there have been times this season when you'd expect hamilton to make a lunge, like last year, yet he patiently sits back. I don't think it's a charade, he genuinely seems to believe in maximising points each race, and not making a stupid mistake (one of his usual weaknesses)
I don't think it's so much the regulations affecting his style, more that he's normally a few tenths shy in quali and is getting completely shafted by how close the grid is. I think he was just four tenths off Hamilton in Q2 on Saturday but ended up about five rows back. Last year it didn't matter if he was slightly short in qualifying because he was able to turn it round in the race, none of his wins last year were from pole, but this year he's giving himself too much to do in the race.
The Gap has generally been much higher between them. Buttons late 2011 form came from the fact although usually still behind he would only qualify a half to one and a half tenths off lewis. Sure the close gird would punish him, but not this badly. The gap has looked half a second or more at most races. Its also the longest he's gone into the season without ever being quicker. There's something deeper wrong at the moment.
I really do think ban on blown diffusers has hurt him massively. Without that extra rear grip he seems to find it harder to set up the car to avoid this "balance" issue he has every week. We have seen Alonso and others fight the car to get it into good positions yet when he has problems he struggles more than most.
Who thought Hamilton was all washed up even two years ago? I'll admit I hate Hamilton. He comes across as a spoilt, arrogant little git, and he makes my skin crawl. Not his fault I'm sure, but that's how he makes me feel so I thought I'd let everyone know. I'm not sure about being petty. He really isn't as good as some people say he is. He got into so much trouble last year that this latest season is a serious attempt at image resurrection. All drivers in F1 have big egos, and they all want a quicker car. But with Hamilton I get the sense that he really feels that he is better than everyone else, and that he really should be winning title after title. I'm no fan of Alonso, but look at the way he has knuckled down and got on with the job while at Ferrari. Hamilton is just a spoilt brat with a gargantuan sense of entitlement that makes me want to vomit every time he opens his mouth. If that's petty then I will admit that I am. I'd prefer to call it a gut, visceral reaction to a twat.
You'd think so, but with F1 being so unpredictable, is there a chance that Hamilton could fail to get it done in the remaining 14 races? It's very very unlikely he won't win a race this year, after all, even in his horrible season last year he managed to win three races. The only small doubt is with McLaren and whether they can 1. not **** things up for Hamilton and 2. not fall behind other teams in development. Very unlikely, but anything can happen.
