Norwich are clearly on the way up - two promotions and 12th in the Prem suggests a pretty sharp trajectory. Whether we continue to rise or have reached the top of our arc remains to be seen. Probably a lot depends on if we can attract better players and assimilate them into the team but I'd rather have this to worry about than where we were three and a bit seasons ago. Relegated to Div 1 and poorer than Pompey.

Maybe money won't be Snodgrasses key motivator but he has a couple of former team mates thriving at Norwich and I reckon that this could also be a factor as I am sure that he and Howson and Johnson still talk. I tend to agree though that if Everton come in with a decent bid and offer him serious cash we probably will have to look elsewhere. Even if we get him if he has a strong season or two he will probably be on his bike to a bigger club and a better salary but such is football. I can see Howson giving us another season or two before being snapped up by one of the big boys. Maybe by then you'll have another young acadamy product in the wings for us to replace him.

on a slightly separate note, i read on a different forum that a few leeds fans agreed that snodgrass is twice the player howson is - if this is true, why aren't barcelona and real madrid coming in for him?! he must be one hell of a player!! howson will be an england player by the end of next season - he probably should have got in it for euro 2012! exceptional footballer, very, very impressed with him <ok>

not as good as howson but a very good first season for us. some mindless fans got on his back slightly as the season wore on because he wasn't as good as grant holt <doh> but 9 goals in the premier league is not to be sniffed at. faded as the season wore on but played after christmas through the pain barrier after an ankle injury. got better again towards the final few games so a summer break and come back fresh, should be firing on all cylinders once again. certainly worth a lot more than the fee we paid to you lot, thats for sure!

Morro scored a lot of important goals for us and is worth mouch more now than we paid for him so I think that would be a yes. But Howson is better and a better prospect and I would not be a bit surprised if a big club came in for him this summer. If he played for a Manc/London club he would already be on the fringes of the England squad and if he continues to progress as he has this season he may achieve this even playing for unfashionable Norwich.

How many games has Howson played for Norwich so far. I would guess six or seven and certainly not near enough to judge if hell make it in the premiership or not. Give him a full season and see if he's England material. The coming season will be as crucial for you're lot as it will be for us at Leeds. Correct me if Im wrong, but was your second half to the season a lot poorer than the first

Yeh Howson tweeted he was enjoying being down in norfolk as he is considered a genius in your neck of the woods, the other thing he mentioned was he loved being in the prem with you guys, but hated wearing the kit !!!!!

he played about 12 games. we had a poor run of about 6 games towards the end of the season but it was when we played against teams from the top 8 or so! we only really had two or three poor games - losing at blackburn and sunderland being the only bad performances. howson was our best player in the run in - he got better and better with every passing game. totally dominated the midfield at white hart lane and the emirates and reminds me of a young paul scholes - perfectly timed runs into the box. if he carries on that sort of form i doubt we'll be able to hold on to him for more than a couple of years - he'll be playing for a top four club.

@boab: so hold on, Snods will sign with a club he wants to be at and **** the money? So why is it then that whoever we are rumoured to sign apparently don't come because of the money? As I explained about Jack Cork going to Saints, no other club really had a chance because he wanted to join up with Adkins again.

Snoddy will stay up north closer to his family he keeps mentioning.

And howson is more suited to the prem than snod. More pace and power

As silly as it may sound I think Snoddy is more of a La Liga player than a PL player, although I still think he would be a success.
