Please do delete the n tread. Last season he had two years left on his contract, hence value may have been higher. Teamtalk are reporting the 1.4m thing so could be a load of crap

 

sounds a bit cheap. But to be honest you'd have to have more money than sense to go in with a high offer for anyone on our books. Gradel/Howson were steals

 

if true, i think we are just testing the water. double the bid and we may get him i'd have thought. he has previously worked with lambert and i'm sure the attraction of joining up with howson would help. anyone else you've got worth having? we do seem to keep coming back for your players!

All I am going to say is that Norwich City will not be the first choice for Snoddy. They may have some money to spend just now, but they will never be anymore than a team trying to avoid relegation from the EPL. There are other clubs with more pedigree than Norwich interested in Snoddy and it will not be the wages that make his final decision.

well we'll have to wait and see won't we! some interesting words from one or two leeds fans above. i seem to remember one or two saying something similar last season, just after we'd bid for howson. can't seem to recall how that worked out in the end...

You really see Norwich doing better than they did last season? Especially on a regular basis? They're a good club but they're about as high as they're going to get bar the odd anomalous season. I think it's fair to say if there really is interest from Everton then Snoddy isn't going to Norwich.

 

granted, he may well go elsewhere - we can't compete with the likes of everton with regards wages as it stands, but don't be so dismissive of our chances! lambert used to manage him and knows him well, plus we have howson and johnson already here so there are some familiar faces. it may be untrue that we have bid for him but lambert DID bid last year so we know he's keen to get him - that also may persuade snodgrass - he knows how much he'd be appreciated by the manager at norwich
