Welcome to the official Euro 2012 thread for the Manchester United board.

Rather than the board getting cluttered with multiple threads on the euro 2012 tournament, we can use this thread to discuss all aspects of the tournament such as games, team news, predictions, fixtures, etc.

This is the official England team for Euro 2012 tournament.

    Hart, Green, Ruddy,

Baines, Cahill, Cole, Johnson, Jones, Lescott, Terry,

Barry, Downing, Gerrard, Lampard, Milner, Ox-Chamberlain..Parker, Walcott, Young,

    Carroll, Defoe, Rooney, Welbeck.

On standby Butland, Jagielka, Henderson, Johnson, Sturridge.

I have already given a tenner to William hill on England at 9-1 to win it. Never going to happen I know.

Not impressed with the squad at all, here's to hoping Roy can pull something out of the bag !

Roy hodgson says he will bring Danny Welbeck to the euros even if he isnt 100% fit. Reckon that's a good idea or should we take someone else?

Ashley Young can shine in the euro's for England, he's a brilliant player, Defender's should be aware because if he see's a space he will expose it like how he exposed it today against Norway.

at times i thought he was Rooney with the number ten on his back lol.

He can play anywhere in mid like in the middle of the midfield or in right or the left wing and he can even play as a supportive striker as well.

brilliant player, for me England should of took him to the world cup last time too. Brilliant player, its talent like him England wasted for the past few years and now Young gets the chance which he should of been given time ago.

I agree. Although I think he had a good season for City, there he plays in a much better team and for England I think his lack of pace would be more exposed. Phil Jagielka has been called up, meaning maybe Phil Jones can be used in midfield.

Last time it was Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney wasn't fully fit.

This time its Barry which is a blow but don't think its a big blow as Lampard.

I feel for Lampard, realistically it could be his last competition and its a massive blow to England, Massive one.

even worse Jordan Henderson is going to come in. Lampard injury is a big blow for England, massive one.

if only Carrick put himself in standby and we wouldn't really need to worry much because Carrick will come in but now we are worrying because Hernderson is coming in.

This is also going to put pressure on Gerrard because we'd be hoping him to perform because at the moment he is our only experienced and reliable midfielder.
