What do you think lads? 10m is a lot of money for us to be paying for a 29 year old, not forgetting the 70k per week wages. Might be small money to you boys but hes knocking on a bit ain't he? http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...idding-War-in-Race-for-£10m-Tottenham-Striker
I've said on other Defoe threads, he's a good player but too old for it to be a sound investment at 10 million.
Wouldn't be bad for £10m although he'd have to take a slight cut in wages. Carroll/Defoe partnership could be tasty
This transfer feels a little Robbie Keane-ish to me Maybe take a punt for £4m and a wage cut though...
this is bull cos we've noone to make these decisions ergo its a load... defoe said something so the press are now actively rumor mongering and i'm sure defoes agent is helping out big time. if you add the fact he's off on england "duty" then this is a complete waste of time to debate any further.
Id have him on a free, but thats about it........ hey ive got an idea, why dont we go and make the same mistakes as last summer and waste a load of cash on players we dont need.......If someone is going to replace carroll upfront he has to be alot better than defoe. And we have bellamy, so whats the bloody point??? i dont want to see someone like Defoe stand in the way of someone like Sterling developing.....id rather us spend the money on a youngster who is going to increase in value and not just be about the night life and trying to shag every desperate scousewife out there.
MITO, he talk the sense... No manager....no Football of the Director, who is buying of these players?.... Me Mexican gardener, going a back to Hoe rich American lady turf...
If its a choice between staying at a top 4 side but not getting any game time and moving to a strong mid-table side with potential to improve, like Liverpool, then he might be better off joining Liverpool. As for QPR, they've got a season or two to go before becoming an established mid-table Club.
Probably not but Liverpool could do with him to score the goals to compete for the top six. You've been missing a poacher since Owen.
I should have explained myself better. Apologies. Torres was a great all round player for Liverpool in the mould of Thierry Henry or someone like that. And of course he scored hat-fulls of goals. But the fox in the box type player that I think you could do with right now has not been around since Owen. Not a play maker, just a goal-grabber. You've got enough "footballers" in your side ain't ya?
