    Hi all,

Most of you know that pie and I are taking part in this on June 23rd, if you want to know what we're mad enough to be doing, here is a link to the website: www.itexwalk.je

Some of you have already agreed to sponsor me/us, in order for you to do so, the way to do it through the website is: go to the heading "The Walk" then in the drop down there is a heading "Sponsor a Walker" you then just need to enter our surname (Chandler) and walk number (41 for pie, 40 for me) and you'll then be in the right page to enter the relevant info.

You can also look at the route in various formats.

For those of you who do sponsor either or both of us, TYVM

    Barry

Bet you don't start at 3am! The strange thing is that we have to walk to the ferry terminal for the start and then we end up going past my place at about a quarter of an hour of the walk. My Dad was in the Peace Hospice for a while before he died, so all the best. I have an extra incentive to be able to complete the walk as there is something pie is doing that the distance we both do helps towards a target of amount of walking he has to do. (I know that doesn't make much sense, but I'll amend it when I've spoken to him). Thinking that if it's dry on the day, I'll wear my Nest t-shirt for the last stage.

It is for explorer scouts, we have to as a unit walk the same distance as the Olympic torch oven the space of the year to get point to try and beat other units of beavers, cubs and scouts to try and beat them.

H and Dan, I think I know what the issue might be - the same one as when I try to look on the website to see who has sponsored me online. I'll send Itex an e-mail when I get home this evening (have to do it from home as that's the e-mail address I registered with and I'm not allowed to access my home e-mails from work), and they'll probably send their response tomorrow so I won't be able to let you know what they say until tomorrow evening.

My sister was going to sponsor us online, but she hasn't done it yet - I was hoping she'd tried, so I could know whether it was just a recent thing.

I've had a message back that they've checked both areas of the website and haven't found any problems. I've been able to go into my area and check online sponsorships now I've got my payment code (which should've been on the e-mail confirming registration) but as we're registered under different e-mail addresses, pie needs to get his own payment code and he is walker number 41, not 39.
