Is PSD still doing all the spreadsheet stuff? I used to find it amazingly reassuring to have a spreadsheet "proving" what we already knew (usually that we were total cr @ p).

I was a member of 606 for a good while but only posted half a dozen times, hated the layout so when it closed I looked at this place and JA and JA following the old style put me off signing up.

 

funny enough I think the majorty of posters went over to JA because the style was the same I must admit it took a while for me to get used to the change but its so much better. The quote functions & the GIFS & Pics you can add make the place a bit more fun, and you can send PMs over here as well. Much better site, and the majority of Mods are all right as well

I like the old BBC format but the other big plus of the old BBC 606 was you could discuss / banter with other clubs fans, and that almost never happens on JA606. A lot of clubs don't have any fans posting. Plus, with several notable exceptions for who I have a lot of respect, the standard of debates there has got lower and lower. Some people there are either WUMs or severely ... ermm.... challenged above the neck.

To be honest I have been taking the P there recently, did some out and out WUMMINg to caricature the people I regard as WUMs, the close season dirge did not help either. So its all for the best I draw a line on it, I think it will expire eventually, as only a handful of clubs use it (Leeds being one of them).

 

Cosmic & Jud are another two I forgot

I was thinking more Lillets rather than Andrex myself.


The one thing about this site that is really annoying is that it takes so long to load up, and that's because of all the gifs and jpegs etc. Yeah, it's fine at home with my super whizz bang fasto gaming computer, but at work or on my tablet or netbook it takes an age every time a page has to refresh.

I'm sure there is an option to switch to text only I will have a play about & see if I can find it

 

My settings- profile- Scroll 3/4ths of the way down & see the visable post elements & choose what you want to take off

 

I was on the BBC site too but wasn't quite as active as I am on this one.

only thing that annoys me is, I can edit posts but it doesnt let me save changes and it doesnt let me reply with quotes

Odd, because you are using IE6 like me, which isnt ideal but works on mine!
