TBH I'v kind of got used to the thought that Martinez will be our manager. It will feel odd if its some one else.
My current thoughts on the manager job: Klopp - No - despite the media links, won't be interested in leaving Dortmund yet. He's still got alot to achieve there and is building a very successful team. Martinez - No - given the fans reaction (alot strongly, and publically, opposed this idea) and the fact he's holding the press conference AT Wigan would rule him out. Rodgers - No - I think he's genuinely interested in staying at Swansea another year or two and seeing what he can do there along with improving himself as a manager before a move. Rafa - No - I don't think the board want to go 'backwards' with a manager. They want to move on with a fresh idea and a young, hungry manager. I don't think they see him as suitable. AVB - Possibly - I don't think we should rule him out yet, with Rodgers and Martinez (imo) ruled out, I think he's a realistic choice for the board and ticks alot of boxes. Van Gaal - No - although he's the likely man to take the sporting director's job. Laudrup - Possibly - Supposedly he's been advising the board. His name has dropped under the radar again but I could see this happening. Ticks alot of boxes like AVB. Guardiola - Unsure - I wouldn't entirely rule him out, but he's a long shot. I think he would genuinely be interested in the liverpool 'project' but I think we want a manager NOW and he wants a break. Alot also depends on who the DoF is since Pep has his own ideas. Very long shot. The most likely paring atm, I suspect, is Laudrup coming in as manager and Van Gaal as sporting director. I would be happy with both. Anyone know anything I don't or heard anything I haven't?
why are you guys so desperate? the club is a leaky sieve when it comes to information so if sky did (who knows, who cares) hear something chances are someone else heard something too and on and on it would go and it would be out. ergo you'll find out when you find out and as its the summer do you REALLY need to know today guys? I don't.
