bony, has Rodgers ever made a bid for a player under contract in the transfer windows or have Swansea ever interviewed managers under contract for the Swansea job?,if so didn't they players/managers have the right to say yes or no just like your manager?,were Swansea in the wrong? Or is just because its Liverpool that your upset?
Not upset at all , if he goes he goes ,thats the nature of football .Just hope that if the dirty deed is to be done then don't have long protracted discussions as Swansea will still exist but the Board will have to bring someone in who'll be better (always have so far ) We had our fingers burnt with Martinez when he publicly slated players not being loyal ,makes some smart arse comment about himself having to be dragged out from Swansea then jumps ship with all the back room staff just before the start of the season .Brendan has always been straight when it comes to comments about his future (to date) but there's always a better offer on the table .I've only said will he be given full control & time to mould the team ,Swansea are not the finished article by any means but he knows he will be given time & control .Shankley came to you when you were a 2nd division club (look what he started) but he had total control which is a rarity these days
You should really learn some Liverpool history before making statements like "he had total control". Shankly had constant battles with the Liverpool Board who wouldn't have signed Pele if Santos wanted 10/- more than they were prepared to pay!
Shanks was the first Liverpool manager that selected the team(previously the board chose the team on matchday),that was the deciding factor when he agreed to take over.
Page, i know that. However it is well detailed how long and hard he had to fight with the Board to get the players he wanted.
Of course dave,i was just adding to your explanation of just how difficult things were for him when he took over.
Were not touchy mate. I heard today that Rogers has now reconsidered and is happy to be interviewed, (maybe nonsense) have you heard anything like that?
Don't understand why we are giving him another chance. I believed he rejected the chance to talk because he felt it was too big a step and he needed more time at Swansea which made me respect him even more. Then I heard that he rejected the chance to have informal talks because he felt that the owners should just come to him and invite him to an interview which I find disrespectful.
I'm neither as a matter of fact. I just think referring to Swansea as a 'two bob joke club' is a bit hypocritical given the circus surrounding our own team at present. Swansea have done magnificently this season and credit needs to be awarded where it is due in my opinion, to Rodgers. As a fan you encapsulate what is worst about Liverpool fans on this board, I've followed this site since it's inception and quite frankly I'm more often than not embarrassed by the Liverpool fans on here. Kind of makes it hard to post on here when you know your fellow supporters are muppets with no class who just join in the mob mentality.
I referred to this earlier in the thread but no-one took me up on it. I noticed that the betting odds had shortened considerably on him before anything had been said about him relenting, so presumably some info was out there?
I haven't a clue who our next manager will be! It's been crazy, I just hope it's all finished with soon.
Odds are down on Klopp as well,- anything in that? I'm not a betting man so I've no idea whether they're any good at this or they just respond to the betting regardless of any info about.
Ffs lad, you're on our board having a go at our club. You are worse than those you're slagging off,in other words your a wumming twat. If you give it out learn to take it back.
Swansea have agreed a deal worth Sigurdsson for £7.2m - I think the owners would be a bit pissed off that they sanction a deal for Rodgers and he leaves ...
Oh right I forgot that if you support the same club as me then I must automatically side with you, even if you're spouting utter bollocks. Jesus it's like being back in the playground on this forum. And I wasn't having a go at our club, merely saying that over the last 12 months we've been the general laughing stock of the press (and for good reason at times). I support my team wholeheartedly but it doesn't mean I should agree with someone who is being downright condescending and ignorant just because we wear the same colour shirt at the weekend.
