Some are saying that his best chances to win a race this year have passed him by and the car is losing pace. Do you think he will at some point add to the growing list of winners this year? Last time I posted a will he win a race this year thread he won the next 2 back to back lol.
he will, its just a matter of time, like it was in 2007. I think he will become the 7th winner in Montreal, cause he's generally been strong there. That being said, I said the same about China, although it was the team's fault. The Monaco race was very reminiscent of the 2010 season. The top 6 were those at the top in that season. If Montreal is going to be anything similar, I expect Hamilton to dominate the race like in 2010, even though then Red Bull had tyre wear issues. With the Pirelli's been annoyingly fragile, and the possibility of similar trye degradation on that track in recent years, he could still do it
He should and he probably will. He's certainly driving well enough but the team need to up their game. Even last year he won twice so I'd be shocked if he doesn't this year, although this year is very different because so many teams seem capable of winning. Roll on, Montréal.
Yes IF Mclaren buck their ideas up quickly. Their pits are pathetic, race pace is not good enough and strategy is appauling. Montreal I think will be dominated by Mercedes in quali so I hope they have something up their sleeve because at the moment they are going backwards.
He does deserve it after the start he's had to endure with McLaren, but deserving and getting are two different thing. I agree that Canada is a good track for Hamilton but I fear the car has now slipped back with at least two other constructors now faster than it.
To be honest it should be a Mercedes 1-2 after qualifying with their DDRS in Canada, unless another team introduces it. Schumacher might nab it but I wonder if they will already introduce team orders to support Nico's WDC charge?
Yeah, but is the car going to be? That said, they'll get it together at some point and he'll win atleast 2 or 3.
He has Mercedes power and a strong DRS, i'd expect him to win in Canada. If he doesn't, then the car is dreadful and he's driving the best season of his career.
That why i was thinking Rosberg. The cars not dreadful but its going downhill. Looks about the 4th best at the moment. Austrailia was a long time ago.
I think having a top three car is good enough to win races, in fact I think any of the top 7 teams arrive at each race with a chance of winning. I was saying Mercedes and Red Bull had the 5th and 6th best cars after Thursday and look what happened. And yes Lewis should win one, we're less than a third of the way through the season, he's driving well and the car is competitive, they just need to "execute a clean weekend" as Webber would put it.
My tummy tells me it's time for Lotus to win a race, and given that they're pretty good in a straight line, and handy in traction zones, then Canada could be that win. But McLaren should go in as favourites, especially with the new (Prost-like) consistent Hamilton.
Yes, I very much think so. Alonso sees Hamilton as his main threat for the title; and although saying so might be a clever bit of psychology aimed at increasing the pressure upon his nemesis, I actually agree with him. The only thing I feel a need to add is that McLaren's ability to mess things up has not been matched by any other top team. On the other hand, Ferrari (certainly Alonso's side of the garage) are consistently reliable in not letting their drivers down.
