The police asked Evra twice if he wanted to pursue the matter...he said no both times!

I wonder why? Surely you would want your racist abuser to be dealt with as severely as possible? Oh wait, Evra does not think Suarez is a racist, yet the majority of the people on here do, how odd? The guy who was supposedly witness to the whole incident and knows the proper context of Suarez' words (how they were said/delivered etc.) does not think he is racist, yet people on here who have no clue and no evidence of the incident believe he is racist, what a peculiar situation! ;)

They had no evidence to change the decision. That is why they HAD to accept that Suarez was guilty as charged <ok>

Unfortunately for you, Google exists to prove you wrong. Sorry about that.

But don't let actual legal practice get in the way of singing the FA's praises when it suits you <whistle>

They could only appeal the sentence, not the verdict!

I guess they looked at the fixture list and the FA's convicton rate and thought, 'let's get this over with...'.

I also guess that Suarez wanted to appeal everything, hence the handshake incident, he was pissed off probably and that was his way of showing it, a bit petulant possibly but I wouldn't shake the hand of someone who had caused me grief either, if I was innocent that is! I guess that is why he has spoken up now, after Dalglish has gone and the **** that the whole incident caused him personally.

And decided to make up a list of excuses. A great way to show innocence.

Not all of them. Are you signing each post off with a <doh> pre-emptively so you don't have to do it later when you realise how mistaken you are?

Let's be honest, we both know that the reason this didn't go to court was Evra knew he would be embarrassed and the world knew there was no legitimate legal case. The media on the other blew it up enough that the FA had to be seen to do something.

The reason the case never went to court was that the complaint was made to the FA and it is up to the body that the compliant is made to to deal with that complaint.

    Okay, I am done tonight!

Once again I will ask all those who are responding on this thread a very simple question...

Remember before you answer that there is no corroborating evidence of Suarez using racially abusive language, i.e. NO video/audio evidence, NO pics or mobile phone clips, NO official or player on the pitch at the time or any member of the crowd (both at the ground and the billions watching on TV) saw or reported anything. So, with this in mind, and also bearing in mind the FA's previously much criticised decisions regarding their incompetence when dealing with Rio, Rooney, Fergie et al...

Is it possible that Suarez did not racially abuse Evra? A simple yes or no will do.

    ;)

Suarez admitted saying it for ****s sake, and do you really think that in such a situation he would not have meant it in an aggressive and offensive way?

Where was it said that Evra was asked if he wanted to press legal charges? I haven't seen that anywhere.

Some moronic scousers have written almost a book on this and compared it to Birmingham 6 , Joan of arc, Amanda Knox etc etc <laugh> but all the FA got wa an admission that the word had been said in an unfriendly aggressive way... That was what was needed... <ok> case closed

Not by British legal standards though. <sorry>

But by the standards of desperate, trophyless United fans looking to play the race card against bitter rivals. More than enough evidence, I don't deny. <ok>

I would say its beyond reasonable doubt that he said something thats considered un-acceptable in our country/culture. Why did he not just accept that what he said was wrong even if he never meant it in a racist way, he could have apologised and moved on with out embarrasing your club in the way he has. I don't really think he's a racist i just think hes an utter dumbass, same as Kenny <ok>

No. The FA banned Suarez the scumbag for 8 matches. The clubdid not appeal and accepted the decision FACT. No amount of protesting by Suarez can overturn that record. <ok> you moronic c**t
