Deserved lead for Mexico. Not impressed by Wales,at all, apart from a few Bellamy touches. I'm glad I'm watching it for free.
Gunter and Ash not a matching pair at the back. Heat is taking its toll. Joe's good as is Neal. I keep waiting to see some of the class that Ramsay has for the last few games now .... Still waiting. I'm surrounded by good humored Mexicans. The Mexican 9 has been trouble all half , took his goal well
to be fair the passing has been quite good by wales and its only coleman's first game. mexico are not brilliant and they were gifted two goals and deserved the win, we cant take anything from this game other than certain players controbution...we have to give coleman time to assess is team and play others who are in the squad and see how they do...the passing was good but one or two players could not adapt to that style of football......good effort anyway and coleman will have learned a lot....
"Mexico are not brilliant". Well,Dai,they didn't need to be. I didn't think much of Wales tonight.Did the Mexican goalkeeper have to make a save? Mexico were much more skilfull, quicker on the break, and threatened to score on many occasions. 4,or 5 nil, would have been a truer reflection of their overall dominance,I feel. A very comfortable win for Mexico, and well done to them for that.
I hope Brenden Rodgers can now see that Cris Gunter is not a technical footballer and is very limited in his game. My biggest concern about Wales is Aaron Ramsey,he seems to play with an attitude that he is a great player but falls very short IMO. If he spent his time keeping the ball and not trying to be a Big time Charlie we may have a chance but i have to say that his performances for Wales smack of a bit of Arrogance. Joe Allen has now supassed Aaron as the number 1 midfield player and i think Aaron knows it. He (aaron) is trying to be too clever on the Ball and playing too many "Hollywood" passes that are not coming off, this is creating a problem as i see some of our players getting a little bit frustrated with him trying to be the Main man in our team and failing in the process. Aaron has gone backwards and i understand the frustration that Arsenal fans have been experiencing with him. I beleive that he has kept the Captains arm band by default and the fact that he aired his views about the Wales manager job a few months back smacked of conceit to me. Ramsey has had a difficult time since recovering from his Broken Leg and he is trying to mask the fact he is not the same player he was 2yrs ago, plenty of time for him to get back on track but he needs to remember its about the team not just him. Wales are short of quality, nothing new there of course but its now getting quite painful to watch our Swans players try and pass the ball to players that are inferior, that may sound arrogant to say but i beleive it to be true. Mexico deserved the win tonight, there is alot of hard work to do and getting rid of the non technical players like Matthews and Gunter and replacing them with better skilled players is going to be a hard job, Swansea have proven that they are out there and in the lower leagues but i get the feeling that if your Welsh and play Prem football(or Celtic) you Automatically get a starting place in the team, we need to search for good technical players or promote more of the U-21's to the first 11 .
it was coleman's first game against difficult opponents and away from home so dont read to much into the game. coleman needs time yet but at least he is playing the swansea way and he needs time now to find the right players. im not disappointed i saw some nice passing with some poor defending and apart from bellamy some poor forward play. but like i said its only the first game and coleman will have learned a lot....speedo went through the same thing at the beginning of his time and he eventually got it right..coleman must be allowed to have the same time to get the right team together who can play the way he wants them to play..
Im not so sure about TBH. Cris coleman has stated that he is not going to change too much just tinker with the team. But its nothing to be too concerned about right now,end of season friendlies are normally of a very poor standard, this wasnt far off for me but Mexico looked like a decent side
Fair play to you if you really are a jack at a Wales away game ,can i just say the Red Dragon flags are the Welsh lads and no Union flags as 90% were Cardiff lads ......... Pity about the score times just before half time and full time .....killer
****ing hell that was ****e. 2 friendlies have been played under Chris Coleman so far and Bale has missed both through injuries. It might just be bad luck but how is a manager supposed to build some chemistry between the team when players don't turn up for friendlies. Its what made us so bad under Toshack. Allen was very poor tonight but was not helped by Edwards, Matthews & Robson Kanu's lack of off the ball movement. Think he missed Crofts beside him too because Mexico were running riot between the MF and back four. Ramsey was starved of any quality ball and even when he did get the ball the poor movement in attacking areas meant he couldn't create anything. Williams and Brown were the only good performers. Gunter, Taylor, Matthews & HRK dreadful. Bellamy and Morison anonymous but didn't get much ball to be fair. Edwards was pointless, how he gets into the starting XI ahead of King and Crofts I don't know.
Vetch ,you must really stop looking into windows at the TV`s and take your cardboard box sleeping bag elsewhere!!
If there were Red Dragon s they must have been all ex-Bluebirds showing off the new club crest Though i didnt see any Malayan flags today, most unlike Cardiff city fans to not suck on the ass of their major "investor" TG . Heard a story about his group out in Dubai, there were 25 people all booked onto Cardiff city fc's account, not one of them was a member of the Cardiff management or playing staff, apparently they were all from Malaysia. All that was charged to Cardiff city football club, maybe they were seeking partners to invest because having Billions is not enough right?
i beg to differ the term investor...how can you invest when the club is losing over a million a month.. somebody is raking it in and its certainly not cardiff...
Hi Yankee...I was also there and agree that they know how to party. Not a great performance from us but it was entertaining having some banter with the Medicans!
Well I didn't expect anything from this game, but not having Bale, and playing Gunter, and Mathews was certain death, Gunter is very poor, and so is Mathews, we need better than these two, as for Ramsey, well I've yet to see what all the fuss is about, and as I've said many times before, Joe Allen is streets ahead, never mind we move on, not a fan of Coleman one bit, but will give him time to prove me wrong, lets hope Bale gets his interest back with Wales!..............
