Sweden! they were odds on favs (4/5) at the begginning- there singer & single had been number 1 in like 10 countries so they were always going to win.

(im abit worried that I know so much!<confused>)

I like Leitir Mor 2/1 1:35 for Jim Bolger in the opener at the Curragh, ran well on debut behind Infanta Baranca who finished 3rd behind Cape Verde and the underrated Dylanbaru yesterday in a listed race which was no discgrace. Just the 3 have had a run and i think this one will be hard to beat should it improve a little from debut, i would be wary if any move on any of the O'Brien runners and Dermot Weld's Thunder Mountain get's respect whilst most of these will be looking for further in time. I just think with that decent debut 2nd to Infanta Baranca that Leitir Mor can take this contest today without being spectacular.

Dont know if any of you have had a look at Princess Newmarkets 'Galileo 2 year olds' thread where Coolmore have named a bunch of them?

Ballydoyle unleash one of those horses today in the opener at the Curragh and I've a feeling that THEATRE 6/1 might be the one to oblige from the Ballydoyle trio. Ryan Moore takes the ride and I was just all over the pedigree and I see it as a potentially smarter horse than the mount of Joey O'Brien, which is more of a US-bred. I know he is a full brother to the 2010 2 Y O WHY, who never really went on, but that filly ran her best race on debut, running on strongly in behind the excellent MISTY FOR ME. I think Galileo is a much better sire of colts than fillies (more of a hunch than statistically based, I just think he makes more powerful colts) and I think Theatre will be a higher class of racehorse than his sister WHY, so that is an interesting little thing for us to follow over this season and next.

I also think Count of Limonade will be one to back next time up, as both his sire and half sister ran promising debuts before stepping up and winning very well on second start.

In the Guineas, a really poor turnout and Homecoming Queen is a worthy Evens favourite and on Newmarket form looks a bloody good price. BUT I think that Guineas form is to be turned upside down on more than one occasion in the coming months. It was just a really odd result. Nothing had suggested that margin of victory beforehand and I dont think you become a 10L better horse on your 14th start. She struggled to shake off Fire Lily on the start before that (though it was a good win with UP -2nd in the French Guineas- in behind too).

With that in mind, I think LA COLLINA (NAP) looks real value of the race at 4/1. She was 5th in the English Guineas on her reappearance, has the defeat of MAYBE in her resume, will come on from the Newmarket run and this is only her 5th start. I will take Homecoming Queen on and I think she will be collared this time as she wont be able to go far enough clear of them this time and you don't know just how much Newmarket took out of her running those fractions.

2:45 Longchamp - Cirrus Des Aigles - I rate this horse so so highly and it wins today. It's as simple as that.
3:05 Curragh - Backbench Blues - This is his preffered trip and has more to give today.

Also been told Taffy Thomas wins along with Kian's delight in the following race.

Good pick Yorkies and Cyc..brave men betting in that!

The AO'B ones that go in first time out when the stable runners generally need a run invariably turn out to be decent.

Quite taken with that.Interesting to see how he progresses. There wasn't a lot of money for him either.

Nice shout men , was the race not over when ya's selected it <whistle> pretty taking performance, the front two may prove to be useful in time and i'm sure a few in behind could well progress when they strenghten up. I think i'll go in big with 25cent each way on So You Think later to recouperate! Layers are out to get Homecoming Queen, ground is a concern, what's the verdict here? I reckon she wins but just gonna watch today.

Can you believe this is Soon's first crack at 10f today? Amazed that this son of Galileo has not gone past a mile yet.

I thought Athens might be one to follow earlier in the year Cyc but not convinced now. We'll see though!

Very impressive...the way he travelled connections might wish they had left him in the guineas yesterday.

    Irish Derby next no doubt.
