So Shrek admits to being a foulmouthed little twat, but won't take his punishment like a man... Spoilt grannyshagging ****er, should be banned for the rest of the season.
OOh the irony, your just as bad! Rooney will not get a ban but a ã5,000 fine which will leave us all laughing at the Fa again. It is about time all you little clubs got the message, WE ARE THE FA. Without Man U there would be no English game, no premier league and no wads of cash to help you crappy clubs out who cannot even sell 40,000 tickets. You all have to rely on us to fill your slummy stadiums once a year. If we played on the moon we would still sell out.
Its amazing how one-eyed some people can be. So none of your players have ever done anything wrong ever?
Of course they have. Nobody here is saying they haven't. The point is, why accept the charge but not the ban? He's admitted he was wrong, and he should be punished. I'd expect the same to happen if Gerrard or whoever had sworn into the camera.
Well, the only recent comparison is Ian Holloway. Who called a referee ****ing useless and got a one match ban. Or Drogba, who abused the referee and shouted "it's a ****ing disgrace" into the live camera after the Champions League semi final. Four match ban reduced to one match on appeal. And Gerrard's two finger salute to the ref went without being punished at all. So it not hard to see why Rooney thinks he has grounds to appeal when he got double the punishment for the same offence as Holloway and Drogba. He probably should accept it, but then since when did any footballer accepted their punishment like a man? As long as the football authorities continue to be so inconsistent with their punishments, they just encourage players to appeal.
But Rooney has got away with it before. He did it at the World Cup.I can also remember him doing something similar in 2009 in the Cup Semi final, and got away with that too,he made a reference to the referee into a camera. So thats three times and got punished once.He should ensure that his mouth and his brain work in tandem, because it seems that his mouth moves faster than his brain. No action was taken against him for the James McCarthy incident,so maybe this is karma.
I don't remember him swearing at the World Cup, just being an obnoxious little twat. But there's no rule against that. Good thing too, or half the footballers in the Prem would be banned! He was warned about his conduct after mouthing at the camera in 2009, so maybe that's the reason his ban is longer. Good call - I'd forgotten about that one. Although Holloway and Drogba have hardly been little angels in the past... As for the karma, well if this is karma catching up with Rooney, I can't wait for it to catch up with Gerrard after his two fingered salute and unpunished elbows on Brown and Welbeck
What a generalised peice of trash, like your team actually, set up in a way to do well in all comps but win none We're not talking our team are we, voyeur.. shut up. Be champions
Its a ban, he should serve it and not complain. He messed up and has admitted it, so I don't get what he's at. He does fk all all season gets a few goals and think he ca say f off into a camera? Like he actually did something to warrant such behaviour? Rooney is a scouse, this is not a surprise, he got a ban, he should serve it and get another for appealing over this. 0 tollerance of this sort of misconduct. I manage to go to work and deal with frustration without running up to my bosses window and shouting fk, let alone this fool, Drogba now this idiot, Rooney is a tard no doubt and shouldn't be allowed to reproduce
Good point. If we behaved the way he did in work we would probably be sacked for gross misconduct! He's a spoilt little twat and needs to accept his punishment. Little kids look up to ****ers like him.... come to think of it, no wonder the country's in such a **** state!
I believe Drogba's ban was 6 games (2 suspended) reduced to 5 games (2 suspended) which is at least 1 more game missed than Rooney.
True, but if customers of companies acted in the same way fans of football teams did, the players would all be entitled to massive payouts from their employers for allowing harrassment in the workplace. Sadly paying footballers more money doesn't make them any more intelligent or responsible - in fact it's probably completely the opposite. The FA should clamp down on all footballers that behave like this, but they won't cos then all their biggest stars would be constantly suspended and their broadcasting revenue would suffer as a result. Sad but true. It was reduced to 3 games (2 suspended). So the initial punishment was only one game for a far more serious offence - both swore at the camera but Drogba also chased the referee and abused him after the game was finished, which sends a much worse message to young footballers.
You have to take into account the circumstances though. Roony had just scored a hattrick - why swear into the camera? Drogba had seen his team lose in the last minute to a team who, on the night, had only that shot on target. That, and I remember Chelsea having 2 or 3 good penalty shouts turned down. He wasn't the only one chasing the ref. I'm not excusing it, btw, just saying that the Drogba incident is more understandable.
Exactamundo. Shrek had absolutely no reason to swear at the camera. He'd just scored a hat trick. The prick thinks he's invincible and should be shown by the FA that he isn't.
Why swear? I've heard various theories: 1) The Sky cameraman was provoking him. That explains why Sky didn't mention it in the aftermatch interviews. 2) He was getting abuse from the West Ham fans all day and finally cracked. That explains why he did it after his third goal. 3) He's fed up of all the abuse / pontificating from the country about his form / weight / behaviour. That explains why he did it into the camera. 4) He has anger issues and is thick as two short planks that were dropped on their head at birth. That explains a lot... Pick your favourite! As for Drogba's reaction, he'd been substituted 20 minutes before the end, so it was hardly a spur of the moment adrenaline fuelled reaction. More like premeditated abuse. And wasn't he wearing flip flops on a football pitch?! Surely that's cause enough for at least a three month ban!
1. Sky probably wanted to detract from swearing on their broadcast to avoid trouble for themselves 2. He gets abuse every game and surely the fact he scored a hat trick is enough to stuff it down the necks of the hammers 3. Still no need to swear though and some abuse is part of the life of a ã200k a week footballer, especially given he was meant to be englands hero at the world cup and failed to turn up. Not his fault he is built up too much though. 4. Probably Rooney and Drogba were both wrong. Drogba's was worse but clearly more understandable given the occassion and the percieved injustice. 2 game ban still seems fair overall.
My mistake - I though it was a three match ban with two of those three suspended. Not a three match ban with two extra suspended. Although weren't two of those for swearing at the ref and another one for swearing at the camera? Either way, Rooney deserves a two match ban, but may well end up with a one match ban based on what others got for similar offences.
