During 90+ mins of absolute boredom, known as an England game, there was on incident i never knew...

Norway corner (Pedersen i think) he hit the post from his corner kick, but the ball them came out and headed in his direction, but he was unable to be able to touch it as the next player.........

Any more strange or forgotten rules?

Sex with dogs is still illegal in Coxhoe, even if in a steady long term relationship, like living in the dark ages.

Thought it was for offside comm seems a strange rule if it is right though it not as if he passed it 2 yards then picked it up again.

Don't know mate, that's what they said on my commentary, but your version sounds much more plausible.

Nope it was for the ball coming back off the post. Same rule applied to penalties. A player cannot touch the ball twice in a row, it must be touched by another player first. If you think about it, how could he possibly have been offside if no one else touched it?

Fair one so how can you run past a defender by playing the ball through his legs then retrieving it again?

Because that's open play, not a set piece. Basically, the rule stops people taking penalties, corners, free kicks to themselves. Although I personally think if your skillful enough to play a one two with the post, then you should be allowed to do it.

How about the rule that if something not normally on the pitch interferes with play the referee should stop the game and drop the ball where the incident occured.

An example of that would be if, for example, a beach ball was thrown on the field, a player took a shot and it deflected off the beach ball into the net. The ref should disallow the goal and give a dropped ball but an incident as bizarre as that would never happen would it.

Seem to remember Shack playing a one two off the corner flag in a few games and getting away with that (didn't witness it myself mind) as you say set pieces are different unless the ref you have is total ****e and you are Blackburn.
Understand the ruling still strange, the same with the throw in rule you can't be offside for a throw in but, you can from a free kick etc. near enough where the throw in was taken from. Still I suppose it makes for a good game.
