    What a way to end your career. i heard him being interveiwed today and he reckoned he was big in Europe. After 40 odd years in the big time he has been reduced to coming second from last in this . and whats worse a group of russian grandmothers come 4th, not that i am ageist but this guy has been selling ceasars palace out for years, I have not watched this eurovision ****e for years, and within 10 mins i realised why i had not watched it for years.

    There must be someone at the beeb we can sue for wasting public money.

    <laugh>

    Cheers

    Agree 100% mate. What we should do is enter someone really famous eg Paul McCartney, Robbie Williams, someone like that. Then when they finish nowhere absolutely everybody knows it's all a load of sh1te and then save some our license fee cash by pulling out of it. A complete waste of time and money.

    Just refuse to enter.... then every country has to question why they sing in English and the British public don't lose out for paying for this ****e. Your mugs for thinking anything different!

    I was forced to watch it but my one condition was that my wife provided me with a crate of cold beer - and she did. So I happily got pissed. :)

    To be fair I thought the standard was pretty high as far as the talent was concerned. Lots of gorgeous babes <devil> and the Ukrainian girl sounded like Anastasia and was pretty good I thought. Engelbert was first on and was awful. Song was terrible and he couldn't hold a note. Deserved to come last but didn't (only just).

    What spoils it is the obvious political voting they have. Pathetic really. If they just left it to the public it might be better.

    So it wasn't as bad as I thought. Very impressed with Azerbaijan. What a stunning country, and Baku looks amazing.

    Who cares? Well, I suppose Sweden does. The Hump was terrible and deserved his lowly place. Time to hang up his boots. He can't need the money.

    Yes Sweden won. She was good, actually. Also stunning. Looked like Carly Simon in her heyday.

    I watched it and also thought the standard of most entrants was quite good, its all political voting now with countries not wanting to be seen voting for the UK due to our close links with the USA, mind you the hump was terrible and did not deserve many points anyway....Its about time we pulled out of europe now as nobody likes the UK anyway, you only have to look how brussels makes a mockery of our own government to see we are not liked, Ditch europe and go our own way. let them put billions of their own money to prop up the euro and not expect us who dont have the euro to bail out european countries in a financial mess because we put the most money in and its dragging us down fast...Europe...stuff it and get a referendum and vote we get out..

    its not as easy as that Superswan, we are tied in with Europe very closely, just looking at what is bad about it is very shortsighted, there are far many more good points about being in Europe, the biggest one of course as that we are in Europe geography wise, do you honestly believe that all the economies in the world are not connected ? It would be economically disastrous for us to do so, many many jobs will be lost, and we are in enough ****e as it is without losing even more jobs.

    Even if Britain had the best song then we still wouldn't finish anywhere near the top as the Europeans can't stand us.

    Time we stopped entering this shower of **** and time for the Beeb to realise to stop wasting our license fee on it to.

    Ditto Clasy Jack Wogan was hillarious with his sarky digs.
    I recon england/uk? should pull out as it`s embarrasing knowing the other countries use it to take the piss nil point !
    Our last act should be a sex pistols/anti nowhere league type band change lyrics at last second to state what a load of old shyte the show represents !!
