Blonde Slapper Trap 6 , Ooops Snapper will win Tonights Derby Final at Wimbledon, 6-1 on offer at most firms get on
There goes the Snapper - lovely dawg, but not a blonde!
I know absolutely nothing about greyhound racing, but looks like Trap 6 is closest to the mechanical hare, so possible an advantage? Sweet, the Snapper actually won, I put $12 on for the win @ 6-1, and they paid out 8-1 (not sure why?), so $96 won - Thanks very much for the tip superhoopsedie!
I guess this explains upping the odds, which was nice of them, only wish I had a little more on for the win! Best Odds GuaranteedBest Odds Guaranteed on every horse and greyhound race - every day! When you place your bet with us take the price on your selection - and if the SP is bigger we will pay you out at the bigger odds! I really only have an active Bet365 account for the free live streaming of events, mostly football. Thanks again Eddie - just wondering how much is Trap 6 being closest to the hare an advantage in a race. The rest of the gang here should have taken a flutter too!
I'm not really a betting man, 'cos on the odd occasion I've had a flutter (Grand National, Derby etc.) I've lost. Opened an online account tonight just 'cos of your tip, Eddie, and made a modest amount that'll cover some unforseen expenses. Thanks again.
A different Blonde Snapper!
As a kid for the Grand National & Derby races my Dad used to allow us small wagers to make the race fun as a family occasion. I remember one year, my wager was a pound on a horse named Morton, which won at 25-1 odds - I believe this was the Derby! Back in the early 1970's that was a chunk of change. Don't imagine that Blonde Snapper will have 8-1 SP odds in the next race though.
2nd semi-final race at Wimbledon that Blonde Snapper won (not tonight's race) - wow what a close finish! Oldest greyhound in the race - wise old dawg that. Again in Trap 6 I note.
Thanks Eddie, will eagerly await your selection - that was my first ever wager on a greyhound race. I believe that my Dad, who grew up in the Loftus Road area and was a lifelong R's supporter sometimes used to go to White City Stadium for the races with his Dad. I note on the Bet365 site that they are already taking wagers for the 2013 Derby (don't see Blonde Snapper) - so I guess this where you got on early with the 50-1 odds on Blonde Snapper for the 2012 Derby just run. So is this a knockout competition, with various rounds that culminate in the Final run yesterday? Also looking at some of the previous races that Blonde Snapper was running, he/she often seemed to get the #6 starting position - is that an advantage?
He's a designated wide runner so it's usually in trap 5 or 6. Nice to land 50/1, some good inside info there...
So how is a greyhound classified as a "designated wide runner"? Trap 6 seems to almost have an advantage as it is closest to the hare.
