I think he's had a good season for WHU, but he doesn't half look nervous when he pulls on the England shirt, & that will spread like wild fire! Feel sorry for the other keeper who got injured, its ruddy hard luck!
Can't believe after 20 minutes the commentators are saying we look like we have more depth and positioning is better than the whole of Capello era. We are playing Norway for gods sake no disrespect to them but there not a top team.
Finished one point behind Portugal according to the commentator. Besides, quality of depth and positioning don't vary depending on the quality of the opposition.
Prepared to have you jump down my throat, but this resembles a poor Championship game. Some mistakes from both sides have been made under no pressure.
I agree, I'm remembering why I stopped watching international friendlies in first place. Passing in last 15 minutes been shocking, a better team would of punished us for that.
Looking at the positives, I would say there is a hint of trademark Roy Hodgson here. We look organised, as if everyone knows their individual roles and are fulfilling them.
It's only a friendly so I wouldn't take too much from it.Playing in an international tournament is a different proposition all together.
The main thing is to give Hodgson some time with the team, but presumably the team for the Belgium game will include more of the proper squad. If we win it will be interesting to see the knee jerk reaction of the British press...they do like to live in the moment.
If we get better at passing it, I reckon we might get out of the group stage next month, but we need a focal point in midfield to be always available as a distributor. Just needs to pass it consistently well.
He was 1st to the ball, but it was a moment where you thanks lord shinpad, inventor of the shin pad as it could have been a breaker.
