Rob Green shows you why hes useless, stand 5 yards off his line for an inswinger with no one on the near post.
Only players in the Norwegian team to look out for are #9, #10 and #15. And to some extent #2. #15 Tettey plays for Stade Rennes in France and can look decent. #21 Braathen plays for Toulouse, can look very impressive but he's extremely inconsistent.
Noway - Was that a freudian slip. Oslo, Norway - you guys not at the game? In the early 1970's I worked for a British geo-physical survey company conducting seismic surveys for oil exploration. We chartered a scientific vessel based out of Bergen with a Norwegian ship's crew, who were always referred to as "the scalies", due to the amount of fish they ate. As an 19 yr old lad I have some very good memories of Bergen, especially the girls!
No the prices for a friendly were ridiculous. Cheapest about £50. I have heard rumours that the Norwegian Football Association had to pay over a million pounds to get England to come, would explain the price increase! And the game has gone to sleep after an ok start - Norway are pretty dire_ Moa needs support up front. England are surprisingly good, and seem almost like they have played together before, kudos to Woy for that! I work in seismic an all mate, but try to keep away from wet Bergen!
Norway to get something out of this. Doesn't have a habit of losing to England in recent times (last 30 years ).
It would be more entertaining than this.....still, helping to set expectations for the Euros. Jauntarena opens his legs and shows his class.
England hardly looking convincing, Norway definitely the better side right now with lots of chances. Green's positioning has not looked great on a few occasions if the shots had been on target with large gap between himself and post.
No, can't see where the goals will come from to be honest. Maybe a lucky deflection from a set piece, but that's it.
Back in those days we worked two months on, one month off with continuous operations. The ship was dry docked in Bergen for one month each year, so the big thing for us was to be on-shift that month, which was really like an extra month of vacation for us, as generally only a minimal amount of maintenance was required on the scientific equipment. Great for a young lad - tax free salary, board & lodging taken care of and best of all those Norwegian girls flinging themselves at you in the pre-AIDS era of free love. I had my first ever pizza at a bar we frequented down on the waterfront in Bergen.
