The UK is an easy touch, there's no doubt.

There's a muslim family that live in my village. They don't work, and they have 4 kids. They get their house paid for, their car is paid for, they recieve benefits that include an extra £100 PW per Child. They now own two dogs, that adds £35 PW per animal. IT's RIDICULOUS.

    Jackash!
Without producing any evidence to support your case, it does sound like a right wing attack on people who are possibly just trying to get by in life in the face of alienation.

This is an old Tory trick been done more than once.

    Immigrants taking our jobs
    Public workers getting massive pensions
    Unemployed are benefit cheats
People getting paid to keep dogs

    Divide and rule

    I'm afraid it's very true.

I know many a benefit cheat, and owning an animal is one of the favourites amongst them. I have no proof in writing, but why would I need to prove anything, not trying to provide a case to get htem sent down, am I.

Remember, I live in a tiny little village where everyone knows everyones and everything that's going on, hence a recent petition to get the RSPCA invloved because of the poor welfare of their dogs.

P.s. Hilts, **** off. I post in reply to the thread, and I get that. Pfft.

I don't think you can generalise about E Europens or muslims or Brits you can only say what you see. I have a couple of points to make and will probably end up agreeing and disagreeing with all of you on one point or another.
I had a massive nervous breakdown in 1992 and I received almost no helprothe National Health service. But because until then I had been paying maximum possible stamp they paid me £187 a week in incapacity benefit. At the time I had just taken up with a girl who had been trying to bring up two children on income support. She couldn't afford christmas presents or sweets for them or anything so my money was a god-send. This girl wasn't a young preggo cash chaser she was divorced but her husband was so dull he was virtually unemployable so could'nt pay for the kids. Anyway, I treated myself. I had an army pension on top of the benefit which I had tried to declare but they didn't put on the form so I wasn't short of cash. remember this was 1992. they gave me 17 pills to take a day but the Pyycho said because i had different things wrong with my head then treating one aggravated another. I used to fill the prescription go home flush them down the toilet and go to the pub. Eventually I was desperate to get off the gravy train because every day being sunday was driving me nuts, but they wouldn't sign me off because they had instructions form the (Labour) government not to because it made the unemployment figures look bad. I do not believe one governemt is any better than the last, they all abuse us they just colour it differently. Anyway I eventually started work again and through hard graft recovered my self respect and my status in life. but it isn't that easy for some. Unemployment benefit can be a trap of its own making. If you are on 50 quid a week and stay in bed all day, they give you a job. If you earn £1 you lose £1 of benefit. you have to earn over 200 a week to cover rent council tax your 50 a week etc. If you have been unemployed for any length of time try walking into a job that pays that nett. you just stay in bed and sod the job. No incentive. (this is true whatever government is in power) What they should do is reduce your benefit by 50p for every pound you earn thereby giving you an incentive to earn more and have more cash in your pocket. It could stop at a certain level. I beleive it would put more people back in work.
OK the other side of the coin. I worked in construction management in London for the last 10 years. I would employ a pole any day without a qualm because I know he will earn his coin. If you tell 2 poles to dig a hole they don't ask how big they just dig until someone tells them to stop. I wouldn't employ an Albanian if you paid his wages. He wouldn't do a stoke and every time he went home I'd be afraid he nicked the van or the office computer. And this is personal experience talking. now my woman in cardiff lives in a little cul-de-sac where every single house in the street was purchased from the council under Thatcher on 'right to Buy' What ever you think of that it gave a lot of people. my parents included a position in life they would not have dreamed of. All the people in her street except one, her next door neighbour who refused to buy the house even when her 3 children begged her and even offered to pay for it so they could have something when she died.
The council moved in a couple next door. they now have 2 children 2 dogs 4 cats and a budgie. Neither of they work and the man is totally unemployable, he can barely string a sentence together. The have new furniture every 6 months because they either wthck it or piss the beds, the whole house has had laminate flooring and they have had a new bathroon and 2 new kitchens and double glazing fitted. These aren't imigrants, they are welsh caucasian products of the secondry modern school system.
I belive that if people are on unemployemtn benfit they should be made to get out of bed 5 days a week and go to work for nothing, cleaning the parks, painting council houses cutting people hedges, anything so they have to get out of bed in the morning, then they might think about getting a proper job with more money. If the man is unemployable send the woman to work, we live in an equal society after all
I just think anything is better than the carp we got, from both the tory and the Previous labour governemts, and it won't change unless we make it change
    Rant over

i've got to say all muslim families i've come across in my area where i live either through friends or neighbours are all in respected professions, never come across a single family on benefits....<ok>

i think the moral of the story is if you allow 500,000 people net to come into this country each year, 1% will be scumbags but the other 99% will be tarred as a result....<ok>

A similar analogy could be applied to many people's perception of Cardiff City supporters. <ok>

Getting back to the immigrant subject Swampy, although very distressing and unfair for the vast majority of immigrees, if you deduce the maths, that notional 1% is still 5,000 scumbags - that's a lot of extra scumbags to support.
