We've had a good team which qualify relatively easily, but then underperform at tournaments. I think we've just reached the point that the old guard will be phased out, risks will be taken with the next generation, and we, hopefully, will be better even by the next World Cup.
The Norway team looks very good. 1 Rune Jartsein 2 Tom Hogli 4 Vadim Demidov 5 Brede Hangeland(C) 6 John Arne Riise 7 Markus Henriksen 9 Mohammed Abdellaoue 10 Tarik Elyounoussi 11 Morten Gamst Pedersen 15 Alexander Tettey 21 Daniel Braaten Subs 3 Kim Madsen 12 Espen Pettersen 14 Espen Ruud 16 Christian Grindheim 18 Erik Huseklepp 19 Ruben Jenssen 22 Valon Berisha Looking forward to Abdellaoue, Henriksen, Elyonoussi and Tettey.
Shouldn't have too much trouble dominating possession against that lot. The centre-backs look quite good, but they'll struggle to keep up with Young and Downing on the wings. Riise and Pedersen have looked poor recently. Some dangerous names up front though.
3-1 win tonight, the press will have England to win the Euro's all over the front pages until we start mucking it up in the tournament, thats my prediction. Why thank you.
Good to have an England manager that can join in and sing our national anthem. Always like 2.0 or 3.1 win, but in the lap of the gods tonight.
Comical defending, but composure from the forwards and a willingness to try and run past defenders is refreshing.
