Well, this just scares the life out of me -

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18209679

Beautiful ground, of course but 25000 capacity, absolute madness.

Let's hope they can somehow claw their way back from this - gonna be a long road though.

Gosh that's terrible! I really feel for them, hope they can tear the leagues apart and enjoy the next few seasons doing so.

I read an article a few weeks back saying how they won't be playing in their 25000 seater stadium next season (they were losing tens of thousands of pounds each month after generally only filling 10% of the capacity on matchdays).

    Really do feel for them.

That's awful. But at least they are still going.

I don't really know the circumstances/history of Darlo but seems odd they have a 25,000 seater? Did they have a dodgy/ambitious owner?

There's no-one near by to even rent or buy the stadium either is there?

Four leagues? That seems rather over the top...

how is that justified? It pisses off Darlo fans and I'm pretty sure the teams in those leagues eyeing up promotion can't be too thrilled about it either.

I know it's hot there n'all but this is desperately poor stuff.

Very creditable of the referee to try and keep things going by playing so much advantage as well, but there were a couple of challenges needed booking in that half.

Comprehensively the worst game I've seen this season.

That was indeed a dire game! I feel if Sheffield United had Ched Evans (or even possibly James Beattie) playing for them, we would have seen a far more entertaining game. That said, Rhodes didn't do too much.

As utterly boring as the open play was though, that has to be one of the most unbelievable and exciting penalty shoot-outs I've ever seen. Really felt sorry for Simonsen missing his penalty.

Didn't have a clue who I was supporting for the whole game - Huddersfield fans were cocks when we played them away, and suggesting they've 'brought the league' wouldn't be farfetched considering how much they've spent on wages. Plus a tiny, irrational side of me was convincing myself that we could nick Jordan Rhodes <laugh>
On the other hand, I've never been too excited by Sheffield United (though I do prefer them over Wednesday and Udders), but I've seen a number of rumours suggesting we'll be signing a couple of their lads if they stay down...which they are.

Highly entertaining, both games with you this season, Rocky. <ok>

I mean, have you ever seen anything as inept as that penalty shootout?

Rhodes played like he played against us at The Valley - completely anonymous - unwilling to do any work and clueless when he got the ball.

Forty goals - ye gods - I mean how bad would your defence have to be to let him score agai...oops, sorry! <laugh>

The Huddersfield gk, Smithies did incredibly well for not being the no 1, keeping his nerve to score the winning penalty and making timely saves. Both teams were nervy and you can't expect perfection for a play-off final but Huddersfield have come close after defeat by Peterborough last year and on a few occasions and got their reward this time.
