cheers Vetch, I looked him up briefly but found his work as a scout mainly.... saying that, if he spotted Ivor, then he is a Legend in his own right as a scout also!

Surprised you didn't pick 11 Dai's, just like your award nominees! No one can say your not consistant. Why not 11 Hugh Jenkins' then Dai?

Thanks for the education, thats what's great about these forums, there is always something to be learnt no mater how much we all fell we know about our team.

Wowsers .... Sousa as coach, brave man but I somewhat see your thinking... but he wasn't particularily popular with the players when he was here, and would that be a good thing for your attack minded team?! I agree with Buck being ahead of JT nowadays, the league is a different animal to 30 years ago.

You said you'd be back and you've obviously thought about this buddy!

Nice team with a good balance. I know what you mean about players you have only watched, but I had to include Cliff Jones and Ivor just through the footage and legacy that surely must be recognised (just my opinion)

Nice to see you giving little Nathan the nod though.

I just figured that with BR and PS, with BR in charge, PS could focus on what he does best, and between them tactically they'd take some beating - not that they'd have to do much the way of tactical adjustments ... Ivor et al would take care of that in real time on the field.

You know it's interesting that nobody has mentioned JT as a player. A good player and every bit as effective as Latchford in his day.

Touche, often overlooked because of him being the boss.

unfortunately our nathan dyer is not in the same class as leighton james. james was awesome and the best winger in his era.....His crosses were pin point and he could fire in long range shots, his pace was lightning with the ball at his feet. leighton was one of the all time greats for the swans...

Don't go there buddy. I argued the fact that Big John being a Swansea youth player qualified..... but got shot down! ...I am with you all the way (see 606 similar thread)

What qualifies as a Swansea Player.... someone who played for Swansea!

Now, a different kettle of fish would be ..... pick a team with players who must have played at least 200 games for us!
Pick a squad of right Jack Bastards ........ who you would want playing for 'Us' in the last game of the season! Lets have the REAL SWANSEA 11.

Swim .... A real team of Jack Bastards .... I'll have to do my homework on that. Ivor is sill going to be the first name on the team sheet, then Herbie Williams, then Ash Williams (?) ....

Come on Musty ... you could do better than that. At least give an indication of which James/Allchurch/Williams/Charles etc you are picking by giving a first name/initial. You just can't pick random surnames!

or do you mean Leighton/Len/John/Jeremy etc?
