The difference between Brendan and Roberto Brown Shoes couldn't be more stark, could it?

Good ol' Brendan!!! He's got his head screwed on alright. I must say when I saw Liverpool wanted to speak to him earlier I did start getting a bit nervous. Brendan Rodgers Barmy Army!!

You could be looking into this too deeply, Brendan admitted making the mistake of moving to Reading at the wrong time and has obviously learned from it, he has mentioned many times how important his family are to him and how they are all very happy living and working in Swansea. He knows that we are a project still in the making and so there is still much work to do, moving on to Liverpool where the pressures are enormous and expectations extremely high from the start is not the right option for him right now. He also wants to repay the loyalty that the board have shown by taking him on initially when he couldn't even get an interview and then backing him with funds for players he has targeted so that is the reason he is staying I believe.

It is great news for all Swans fans, we can look forward to another exciting season with our manager fully focused and hopefully with Siggy and some other quality players added to the squad.

    That's very good news.

He said no to potential Chelsea interest and now has said no to Liverpool. Let's just hope he says no to anyone else who comes in, eh?

That said, it's possible Liverpool didn't see him as good enough and he was prepared to go. Fingers crosses that isn't the case.

Watched an interview Brendan did with Sky at the recent LMA awards. Gives you a very good insight to Brendans thinking, he tells of his sacking from Reading leaving him very demoralised.

He mentions applying for jobs and couldn't even get any interviews for for league 1 jobs. He was very gracious for being considered to take the Swans job on.

He's proved to me anyway a man of integrity, Huw was willing to let him talk to Liverpool, but Brendan turned them down and good for him.

The way that Liverpool are going about their search for a new manager I find despicable. Why they want to go round and create uncertainty and unrest in clubs asking to speak to their relevant managers for interviews. I just annoys me, that they can throw clubs into turmoil. How would we all feel if Brendan wanted talks and the Liverpool say thanks but no thanks. In my mind, it would be hard to retrieve the supporters trust.

Anyway just glad Brendan has rebuffed Liverpool. Onwards and Upwards.

I think Rodgers knows he's onto a good thing at Swansea, he has a team who had already embraced the total football philosophy, and to get a big club like Liverpool playing like that, would be a nightmare, just look how long it took Roberto at Wigan, any other club and Martinez would have been history ages ago, and Rodgers knows how difficult it was at Reading, so I'm pleased that Brendan has his feet on the ground, he has much unfinished work here at Swansea city, next season I think Rodgers wants to make his real mark on the Premiership, this season was simply a trial run, watch this space Jacks!................

Right, thought I'd go back and find a relevant old thread to post this rather than make a new thread as it doesn't really deserve one.

Was browsing Twitter this morning when I woke up to see the daily happenings that happened through the night. I see a tweet from Ashley Williams that he met a 'super fan' in NYC who will be supporting them on Sunday. The nosey bugger that I am, I click on this supposed 'super fan' to have a look at her timeline. She has spent the evening in the hotel meeting the Welsh national team and I'm surprised by what I read:

And when clicking this tweet, you see that this was in reply to this:

She is a Liverpool fan by the sound of her tweets, but there appears to be something growing here. And with Jazz, Allen, Taylor and Ash all out there (and she's posted pics to prove to was with them), it's very possible that something has been said by accident in a light hearted social situation.

I'm not expecting Rodgers to go, just posting what I saw and found it intriguing.

No but there's easily more bullshit online than actual factual reporting.

Also, apparently Rodgers IS now going to speak to Liverpool!
