Man City lost £197 mill

Discussion in 'Arsenal' started by The Boxer, May 26, 2012.

  1. Yep - its Arsenal through their accounts who are saying it <ok> But I dont think we would spend £200m on Nasri. Not good business in my view.

  3. It would appear there is a reason for City's HUGE loss.

Under FFP if you report a 'positive trend' but fail to meet the maximum loss threshold then you will be ok.

What better way to ensure a positve trend than to lose £200m the year before the monitoring period starts!

What do you mean IF they lose £196m...... they certainly will. The problem is- making sure it is less than £200m.

  6. Good post Shwan.<ok>

The commercial income of City shows exactly where they are cheating:

Accoring to the plan shown they will make £115m on commercial revenue THIS YEAR gone, rising to £135m next year!!! Now Arsenal, although stung on the commercial deal on the kit and stadium made £46m last year. I think that the Sheikh has quite a few football shirts tucked away in his closet <ok> I suspect £135m is MORE than Utd make commercially.

Also this plan shows a PROFIT from player sales????????

You could say the same thing about any club. Not one person would miss Arsenal if they went unless you are an Arsenal fan.

Most people outside the too 6 genuinely don't care about Chelsea or City's wealth so a breakaway league wouldn't be in the best interests of them and it wouldn't get the support of the FA chairman who is a CITY fan.

Chelsea and City are far more entitled to be in the league than United who are in millions of pounds worth of debt yet allowed to continually spend

  9. The worldwide fan base of clubs like Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal is important. Chelsea admittedly are well supported though not as highly as those other 3, and its a more recent thing.

As for the clubs outside of the top 6, it would be easy to sell them on the notion as only 1 team would be relegated for a year - its like offering a much better chance to make an extra £50m.
