Leandro Damiao has got the same celebration as Gareth Bale, will this cause tension within the group when he comes and scores 20 goals for us ?

It could lead to a friendly rivalry - or the pair trying to outdo each other with goal celebrations until one dislocates their shoulder trying to somersault over the advertising hoardings.

Eden, a tart from the start

Eden Hazard is a footballer in demand at the moment and, boy, has he really gone out of his way to put himself in the shop window.

Unfortunately, he appears to think it is one of those windows that you find in the red light district of Amsterdam (or so I'm told).

Hazard has teased and pouted his way through the most embarrassing transfer auction of recent times, smiling beguilingly through the glass at his suitors and making it abundantly clear that he is absolutely and totally committed to whoever happens to be walking past with the largest wallet.

Right now, Hazard is on the verge of accepting a huge money deal from either Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City or even - and don't laugh - Arsenal, depending on which paper you read. <laugh>

City are said to be cooling on the transaction, allegedly because of the outrageous demands being made by agents.

While Arsenal appear to have as much of a chance of signing Hazard as Portsmouth.
    <laugh>
But the suggestion kept his publicity machine spinning along regardless.

While there is nothing wrong with the Belgian trying to negotiate the most attractive deal for himself as he exits Lille, the manner in which he has gone about it has undeniably cheapened his appeal.

He broadcast he would reveal his chosen club last weekend, plugging this momentous declaration for all it was worth (which, according to reports, could be anything up to £32million and £200,000 a week).

But it turned out it was another tease and the protracted sale was dragged out a little longer.
No guarantee: Didier Drogba (above) was a hit, but Hazard may not be

Hazard said this week: 'I don't know when I'll make a decision. It will be Manchester City, Manchester United or Chelsea. The decision will depend on the amount of play I would see and the position.'

    And the cash, of course.

The danger is that by the time Hazard arrives in the Premier League, everyone will already be heartily sick of him.

There's no guarantee he will be a success either.

For every Didier Drogba that translates success in the French League to these shores, there is a Marouane Chamakh.

When Hazard finally agrees to go somewhere he needn't bother posing with the scarf of his new club, as new players usually do.

He's been such a tart about it all they should just hand him a feather boa.

I've updated the front page a bit to include a loan section - keeps things nice and separate. I'll finish the loan section later - lots back in!

I think we should remember the quote from Hazard about wanting to go where he'll get "most games" (1) when he's sitting on Citeh's bench, if he makes the bench and (2) that if he wanted to play a lot of games he could always stayed where he was. Clearly most games = most money. If he goes to Citeh it will be nothing more than them stockpiling players in an anti-competitive move to stop other clubs getting them (as far as I remember, only 11 can appear on the pitch at one time, though if Citeh played more they'd probably find a loophole allowing it).

It's another one of those now laid bare cliches like he wants to test himself, which as others on here have pointed out is much more likely to happen if you stay in a lower ranked club than one at the top.

Liverpool paying 35million for Carrol has distorted the market as well. Other clubs will have noted this, making it all the harder to buy strikers at a sensible price.

I think Carrol has potential and could well be a success for England but 35 million has to be 3 times what he should have cost.

Hopefully, these other clubs will soon realise that Damien Comolli isn't around anymore, and get a bit more realistic with their prices!

They must value Giroud somewhere between £12-15m. I can't think Chamakh's value would be anywhere much over £5m considering his stop-start Arsenal career.

He's desperate to get away, as long as it's to Spain.

There's so many "what ifs" in this one - if Villarreal stayed up, he would've gone. If Rossi wasn't out until January/February, a cash + GDS bid for him would've made a lot of sense.

If any Star writers are reading this: Malaga signed Julio Baptista, so they have a habit of signing misfit South/Central American players who were on the books of North London teams. Let's call it a £5m bid, eh?
